Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not Understood My original reservation was for a King Room. When I got to the hotel I was informed I received a free upgrade (normal) for my priority club membership. In the past I have received upgrades and got a better room. This time I got a room with 2 double beds. When I called to question the person I was speaking with could not answer why this happened. Can somebody explain why this was made to sound like an upgrade when in fact it was not. thanks June 12, 2013

As a Platinum Royal Ambassador member of the Priority Club program, I live in hotel with my preference leaning toward the Intercontinental branded hotels due to the benefits that we receive. However; because of a past stay at this property several years ago, I decided to choose this hotel over the Intercontinental Hotel down the street. The person who checked me in is definitely a valued member of their team and he definitely made me feel like an valued member of the Priority Club program. The issues that we ran into were with the breakfast buffet and the housekeeping services. What was supposed to be a hot breakfast buffet was cold. I brought it to the attention of the wait staff. I had them prepare a fresh omelet instead; however, that omelet was overcooked and not that appealing. I decided not to eat at the buffet the second morning and enjoyed breakfast outside of the hotel. The second issue was with housekeeping. The housekeeping staff did not clean the room during the stay. During checkout, I did get the opportunity to speak with the housekeeping manager who was very embarrassed about my whole stay. She did assure me that the restaurant has ordered new equipment and a proper investigation will be conducted as to why my room was not serviced. I am looking forward to returning to this hotel and experiencing the same issues. June 8, 2013

Could not remove to plug in anywhere More attention should be paid to essentials like above instead of being given silly greeting notes on check-in June 8, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Stay A great place to stay for a decent rate. The staff was very accomodating and welcoming. A mall and movie theater are in walking distance. The shuttle service to/from the airport was very nice and cut taxi expenses. If i had to find something to nit pick, it would be the fitness center. The celings are extremley low, I'm 5'9" and any movements performed overhead (standing) would hit the celing. Other than that the equipment was nice and clean. May 31, 2013

The restaurant/club is casual but the food is top notch. Huge pool area with plenty of lounge chairs with easy access to Tampa International Airport by car or by the hotel van service. May 24, 2013

The accommodations top grade The food excellent with in particular the large selection of breakfast Choices. The welcome staff (Eric) when checking in and out. Forgot my phone charger in the room. It was replaced when I returned the next day, cost free, by Andrea. From the comfortable rooms to the friendly, helpful staff-- this hotel has it all--great breakfast buffet, outdoor pool, fitness ctr., business ctr. with free interenet, airport shuttle, Mojito restaurant with great food, very ample and convenient parking. Plus it is near the airport, Westshore and International Malls and lots of restaurants nearby. Every request to the hotel staff: from the front desk, to housekeeping, to maintenance via the front desk, has been handled efficiently and promptly on every stay we have spent at this hotel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I Won't be staying here again I travel to Tampa several times a year for business and stay here as its convenient to my office. Pros: it has a good breakfast.The rooms are clean. There is a restaurant onsite and shuttle service is good. Negatives: Don't leave any possessions behind you wont get them back. I left my glasses in the room. I rang the hotel from the airport as I had colleagues there who could bring my glasses home. I rang when I arrived home. I knew exactly where I had left them. The front desk will do nothing but put you through to a lost and found answer machine. I asked to speak to management who stated they would look into it personally, despite continued calls over several months. I did not receive a single return phone call. My next trip to Tampa (4 months later) I pay a personal visit but of course my glasses are not there. So I am $350 out of pocket and won't be staying at this hotel again due to the refusal to acknowledge me or allow pickup or return my possessions. April 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Crowne Plaza West Shore April 2013 The tower rooms at this hotel are absolutely over priced for the size and location. I spend between 18-25 nights a month in Hotels all over the US, Canada, Asia and Europe in comparison to size quality and price the facility is by far the most over priced. Granted the staff tends to smile a lot and offer complimentary conscious (which they never deliver) but for the price it is not worth the stay. During my last visit I was relocated from a Cabana suite to a tower room due to maintenance required in another room. I was offered 2 complementarity dinners and a refrigerator in my new room for my inconvenience. I cleared the before 10 the next morning, when I returned that evening from my business the hotel had already placed someone back in the room. Two issue with this move, if the relocation was due to a quick fix why weren't arrangements made with me to for a time to go in and do the maintenance? Second the conscious offered where not delivered. It wasn't until late in the evening and 3 to 4 phone call's and 2 trip to the front desk that I was able to receive a refrigerator.. I have spent at least 10 days a month in this Hotel since October 2012 ( Because of my Travel Agent) but in the future I will find somewhere that is compatible for the price of a good nights sleep. Even though we weren't really on vacation, the hotel staff treated us as though we were dignataries from out of town. We stayed in the cabana suites by the pool. Not only were they comfortable, the were roomy and supplied our every need. thank you Crown Plaza Tampa. April 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful hotel! The people were amazing, the upgrade to a suite was welcome, and the room....the room was perfect! Right off the pool, even with families playing down there, we didn't hear a peep. My wife and two boys commandeered the king bed, I was worried about sleeping on the pull-out couch. I was asleep in minutes; it was the most comfortable pull-out I've ever slept on. In fact, I'd sleep on it again! The bellman was incredibly nice, the airport valet apologized for keeping me waiting 10 minutes. Walking distance to great restaurants and a wonderful mall, and a very quick drive to the airport. In a heartbeat, I'd recommend this hotel and stay with my family every time we're in Tampa. April 5, 2013

Same breakfast menu has not change. On a long day, the food in the bar is very good. So if you are tired, no need to go out. Again overall - Very Good Hotel. April 4, 2013

Iron was broken and housekeeping had a replacement within 5 minutes. The service I received was excellent. The only negatives I have were the poor lighting in the rooms and a very worn leather couch in the setting room. April 2, 2013
