Great service by staff in extreme conditions

My sister and I went away for a weekend to the Terrigal Crowne for three nights on a Wotif voucher. We were looking forward to it because my sister has terminal cancer and we wanted to spend some quality time together. Unfortunately there was a death by misadventure on the first night we were in the hotel. The staff's handling of the incident was absolutely superb. They were extremely professional and sensitive to the situation.
Although we had to come home a day early because of my sister's ill health we were impressed by the ambiance, cleanliness, food, service, and professionalism we encountered from the staff.
I wish that our stay could have been longer and less eventful but that is definitely not a reflection on the hotel.

Conference stay- efficient and comfortable venue

Good catering and venue ... Room clean and comfortable
Downside was air con noise, and wait for room from 10am until after 3 pm
Early check in sought because unwell and arrived early - told no room available and to come back later - & again later, & again - and gave up.
.? Perhaps because part of conference group booking
Still great place for conference

Not a plesant experience

Room not ready on arrival.
Bathroom missing shower curtains (installed second night)
Old soap left in bathroom from previous guest
Expensive parking
Charged for internet even when stated it was free
Started off on a negative and couldnt make this up.

Stayed for 2 nights recently and. as always, very happy with staff and hotel in general .I was disappointed to find that the new TV configuration means there is no longer any in room Fox Sports..
Food in Florida Bar was delicious but unfortunately the Sea Salt breakfast was a was cold and pastries and muffins were not replenished....trays were empty by 9.30.
