Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Old property with great service! First of all, I must say that the staff at this hotel was awesome! Michael was the kindest young man who drove me to my classes a few times...very polite!!!! While the food was acceptable, the service was lacking. Room service didn't bring preserves or honey with English muffins and then I had to wait until they were cold for them to bring to my room. Room was very dated, not very clean, and pillows were HORRIBLE!!!! Unfortunately, there are not any restaurants or good shopping in walking distance. The front desk staff & the bartender were soooo nice though.....and if rooms are renovated when I return to the Towson area...that's the only reason I would consider staying at this hotel again. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible mattresses Are room was a double queen room and both beds had very poor mattresses that sunk in the center. There were also tears in the lampshade and the overall look of the room was run down. I can overlook some things but when the bed is uncomfortable, what else is there to really make your stay enjoyable. After all, you typically stay in a hotel because you need a place to sleep for the night. For the price we paid, I felt the room was a very poor value. May 25, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good hotel I stayed 3 nights on a business trip. Room is very comfortable, clean. All in place. No complaint at all. Breakfat was very good for a light morning meal. Best value for money. I will defenetly return to this hotel on my future business trip. Will recommend it to others. One issue for the hotel to pay attention: The vending machine on 3rd floor are noisy... I sleep "heavy" but light sleeper may be bothered by this noise. Naftali May 17, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great disappointment Very disappointed in many aspects of our stay. Upon our arrival we had to have the stains cleaned from inside the toilet. The shower tiles had mould and mildew in the grout. The food in both the restaurant and the two dinners we had while we were at our convention was terrible. The food was undercooked and very unappetizing. We could not finish our meals. The servers were not attentive to our requests. The service in the restaurant was extremely slow. The portions served did not match the price we had to pay. Being so close to a major highway created noise in the room. Sleeping was difficult. May 14, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable room and great service We stayed here from out of town for doctors' appointments. The room was very comfortable and the staff was exceptional. Would definitely stay here again. The halls are accessible for wheelchairs as well. Only drawback of the hotel -----the restaurant - Don't get me wrong, the staff continued to be very courteous and professional, however, the food was horrible. This is the fist time we ever sent food back to the kitchen in our entire life. The meat was extremely fatty, unable to eat 98% of it. It took well over an hour and half to get our meal and we were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Tried it again for the morning breakfast buffet, only to learn that they shut the buffet down an hour early because they were "slow". Therefore we decided to just get coffee near the reservation desk. (Mistake again, no coffee, only tea) So we again tried the restaurant, Food was great, but had to wait 40 minutes for pancakes. 40 minutes!! crazy, and once again the only people in the restaurant at that time!. Skip the restaurant and the rest is outstanding!! May 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice accommodations The hotel was very close to the Fairgrounds. The rooms were updated. The only comment I have is that the pillows were very lumpy. Also, The bathroom has been partially updated, but the tub/shower does need to be redone. Other than those issues it is a decently maintained property. April 28, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Never stay there again This hotel was by far the worst I have ever experienced. The room was dirty. The water that came out of the shower was green! The staff was less then helpful. I never stayed in a hotel that only had one cart before now. The service in the restaurant was absolutely horrible. One person in our party never got their order. I would never recommend this hotel. You are better off sleeping in your car. April 25, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The Bathtub needs help You have a lovely hotel, everything from the check in desk to the lobby to the meeting spaces to the rooms are very well appointed. However, in the bathroom of the room I stayed in, the tub was frightening. The rest of the bathroom was very modern and nice, but the grout between the tiles looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. And around the faucet it looked like there had been a problem and the wall repair did not look professional. April 25, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Prepared For Large Events My stay at the Crowne Plaza was connected to participating in a convention which was being held there. While the guest rooms were typical of other hotels, the price was slightly higher. However, the property was in no way prepared to host such a convention event, and may times was left scrambling to set up rooms, provide supplies and aids, and have the appropriate number of staff working at the associated restaurants and bars. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort and cleanliness beyond expectations We stayed at this property for 3 nights and were extremely pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk personnel, the comfort and spaciousness of the room, and the impecable cleanliness provided by the housekeeping staff. We arrived quite late (about 1:00 a.m.) and check in could not have been easier - the gentlemen at the front desk was warm and welcoming, and we were in our room and asleep in very(!) comfortable beds in no time. If I had to name one curious thing about this hotel it would be that you can not use the stairs to walk up (we were only on the second floor) - there was no handle on the outside of the door in the stairwell entrance on the first floor, so you had to use the elevator to go up...never a problem, but only being on the second floor, using the stairs is a nice option. I would highly recommend this hotel. April 1, 2013

My room had a leaky faucet, no shampoo with nail clippings on counter. My guess is Holiday Inn will be letting this property go soon. March 30, 2013

We had room 230 and when I opened the drapes I thought I was staying at a prison. We had a special rate because of a death in the family and this hotel was recommended. I wish I stayed at an other hotel with windows. Our window looked out at a WALL Thanks but no thanks never again March 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good Start - not so good finish Stay started out good with a great check-in experience and helpful clerk. From there however it didn't take long to go downhill. The water in the tub was running when I entered room and would not turn off, had a salad and a beer at the Bar and although the salad was good I was surprised that a single domestic beer was $6. Tried to eat breakfast at the restaurant but after waiting to be seated for a little while (not because it was busy but because no host came to seat me) I ended up leaving and getting breakfast off site because I got tried of waiting for a server to take my order. Not horrible - but not a great experience - as a Platinum Priority Member and being a Crowne Plaza my expectations were higher. March 25, 2013

This has been true for the past three years: last time I went there for dinner, my order didn't arrive for 25 minutes. I asked my waiter what the hold up was. He replied that they were out the entree that I ordered. Of course he never bothered to tell me until I asked. I've never been back for dinner. March 22, 2013

I don't know what was worse, the food, or the service. (This being Saturday morning breakfast). Service was practically non existent and quantity and quality of the food was extremely poor. While the staff were very nice they were also limited in helping with a significant problem: Stayed here once before and avoided an Atrium room because the Atrium has annoying music from 6:15 AM until late at night - annoying. Had an outside facing room which was no more than 50 degrees when we arrived (and all were kept that way!). It took eleven hours for the room to come up to 70 degrees and it was very, very uncomfortably cold. This is a very odd place to stay because of the way everything is arranged in the building. Also it is very noisy right by a busy highway and you may need earplugs to sleep.They seemed more geared for business meetings and shows than having overnight guests. Very disappointing - avoid this place!!! March 7, 2013

Initial reservation made at convention rates, but when I added a second night to my stay I was made to pay the regular rate for both nights instead of the convention rate. Not likely to return.
