Stayed here for a night while my house was undergoing some work.
As an IHG Platinum member, I was first given room 228. Avoid this room at all costs! It was claustrophobic and right near the ice machine. Plus, 75% of the view out the window is blocked by a concrete beam just a few feet in front of the window, blocking out almost all natural light. The bathroom is also extremely claustrophobic, and you can barely move around in it. Why this room would be given to a Platinum member is beyond me!
I was in that room all of 1 minute, and expressed my dissatisfaction with the room. I was moved to a suite, this one being 729. MUCH better, but it was not on the quiet side of the hotel. This, however, did not bother me in the end. What did, however, bother me was the fact that the shower was full of mould and mildew! There was black mould starting to grow on the ceiling (see photo) and wall tiles of the shower, and the caulking had mildew growing in it.
Because I did not notice until it was very late, I did mention it to the front desk, but stated that I didn't want to change rooms because it was too late.
I was also provided with 2 breakfast coupons when I checked in. The breakfast was lousy, for the most part, but at least I wasn't paying anything for it. Hot buffet food was cold, as many others have mentioned. However, the make-your-own waffles and Starbucks coffee were very good.
Pool and hot tub water smelled like they had not been cleaned in some time. Hot tub could have also been a bit hotter.
One positive is that I never had to wait more than a few seconds for an elevator. There were 5 of them, and they were fast.
Will I return? NO!

Good clean room. Friendly staff. Check in went smoothly. But noise of airplanes landing, taking off, and early morning freeway traffic was really noticeable. I was on 11 floor so should not have heard the traffic so clearly. Last time I stayed here (about two years ago) the hotel provided ear plugs. They did not this time but should have.

I stayed at the hotel for business meetings the weekend of October 25, 2013. The hotel was comfortable and I didn't use any of the amenities, if any. It was nice to have tea and coffee in the room and extra pillows. The only annoying thing was the sounds of the airplanes flying overhead / nearby. When I first entered the room, I went to "close the window" only to find it was already closed! If you are a light sleeper, it won't be good to stay here. I don't think this hotel was built with the soundproofing necessary for the airport, but it was otherwise very good and I would stay again.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel for the third time for an annual conference I attended, three years in a row. The conference committee made a great choice in choosing Crowne Plaza as the hotel had great conference facilities and the food was just amazing! My experience during each of my 3 stays was wonderful, and I look forward to future stays. It is very conveniently located near the airport, and has a couple of great restaurants just outside the hotel in addition to what's in the hotel. I tried room service for the first time this year, I ordered calamari and it was delicious! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is really nice. I really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day at the conference! Thanks for an excellent stay, and I look forward to coming again in the future!

Location is ideal for a conference unfortunately, the conference rooms were dirty. Room was dusty. Service in restaurant was slow and poor. Lunch order was wrong.

Half an hour shuttle bus to and from the international airport helps travelers a lot and the shuttle ride was less than 5 minutes.
From the hotel to downtown eg Chinatown or the water front will take about half an hour by car.

We have had numerous stays at Toronto Park & Fly hotels and have always had the same problem...the return pick up. But not here! We decided to try the Crowne as the premises looked good, they were very close to the airport and were also close to a number of our favorite places to eat. We were impressed with the initial contacts with customer service and the ease of check in and check out. Our room was small, but clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Yes there is noise from the planes, but we expected that given it's close location on the east. That being said, we made the change for two reasons: to be closer to better dining options and most importantly to see how their return pickup from the airport would be. This is where this hotel excels. They are surrounded by a number of very good restaurants and as for the return pickup...the bus came by just as we exited the airport, so no wait at all. This was not luck as the next shuttle, was leaving for the airport just as we arrived. Thank you so much Crowne Hotels. If you continue to offer good rates, we will definitely continue to use you as our first choice.

Since the beginning of the year, I stayed at your hotel several times, and just a few days ago I received my Gold Elite card.
Being in the hospitality business myself, I have watched your staff deal with the customers and noticed that generally, everyone is pleasant.
I would like to mention in particular Christine at the front desk, Stan and Siva at the Food and Beverage, who always make the customers feel at home away from home.
I am certain that you know what a great asset these individuals are to your organization.
I would very much appreciate it, if you could relay to the 3 individuals my deepest gratitude for their wonderful service.

I've stayed here several times a year for the last 10 years, and it's always been a reliable, comfortable hotel. Good food in the restaurant, and the staff is very accommodating. The recent renovation has made the rooms especially nice and modern.

I booked a room with 2 double beds. When I checked in I was given my room key with no further comment, but when my wife and I went up to the room I had been given a very small room with a single queen bed. I am a restless sleeper and therefore prefer either 2 beds or a KIng, so I returned to the front desk but was bluntly told too bad, it was all they had. I spoke to the manager and he also told me nothing else was available, but they could send up a roll-away, which was not a suitable solution and would not have fit anyway.
The following morning we were going to breakfast and told the waitress we were to have breakfast included, and she told me I needed a voucher - this was also overlooked on checking by both the clerk and the manager.
All in all I was disappointed with the room, the service, and the lack of platinum recognition.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza near the Toronto Airport on October 2nd. I chose this hotel as I have stayed in Crowne Plaza's in the past and have been pleased.
This hotel however, is not of the same calibre as other Crowne Plaza's I have stayed in, in the past. My room was dim, unclean and was missing some things that are advertised as perks to staying at the Crowne. My bed was quite firm, there was no comforter or decoration. My room was very simple overall.
It seemed as though I was given the "cheap" room in the hotel. I would not choose to stay there again.

Booked the room as the last night of a 5 week trip to USA/Canada. Great, comfortable bed. Nice bathroom.
Sauna, pool and spa were nice to use at end of a long day travelling.
Complimentary shuttle to / from terminals was great too.
Overall a good last day experience in Canada

This hotel has friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are adequate in size for an overnight option, but would be a little small for a lengthy stay. Beds are comfortable and the room offers a selection of pillows differing in firmness, which is great! Bathroom amenities are high quality; however, the shower contains a head that is very low and is very uncomfortable for people who are over the height of about 5'8" to shower as you have to bend down to wash your hair.

Unfortunately, we were not able to check in before the 3pm stated although this is an airport hotel. We had to sit in the bar until time to check in as there was nowhere else to go. No advantage having a gold elite card at all. Room was nice and pleasant. Had lunch and dinner in the hotel. Average food and service. Breakfast was not a great experience. Hot food not very hot. Not a great selection. Nothing brought to table ie tea or coffee. Appreciated the airport shuttle bus which was the plus point. Would not stay here again.

The room was very clean and bright...my room was a corner room and enjoyed that very much. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows also. The shuttle was a plus because I would have had to walk to my meetings but with this service offered it was very good.

This Crowne Plaza does not do any favors to their brand image. It is in poor shape, as airport hotels sometimes are. But the staff is really quite good and the overall service better than average.
If you don't mind worn rooms and a musty smell, this hotel is fine.

The rooms are nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. Staff is pleasant and helpful. The Toronto Congress Center is within walking distance. Free convenient shuttle to the airport. The only negative is that the restaurant is expensive for the quality. I highly recommend the hotel but suggest guests check out some of the other restaurants nearby (walking distance across the parking lot).

I was hesitant about staying at this Crowne Plaza because hotels around Toronto airport are usually old and grimy with sketchy-looking people roaming around. I want to say that I have stayed at a Crowne Plaza at Pearson (Dixon Road?) in the past and was hugely disappointed. I don't know what happened to that hotel, but our recent stay at the Carlson Court location was great.
Reception was organized, friendly and efficient. The room was large and well appointed, the bed comfortable and the bathroom lighting sufficient.
I would definitely stay here again prior to an early flight out of Pearson.

Stayed overnight at the beginning of our vacation. The hotel is clean, comfortable and convenient for air travellers with shuttles leaving every half hour. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

There was no desk chair in the room.
One of 2 bed lamps was not working because it was not plugged into the wall behind the headboard. It was not easy to plug it in.
Bathroom: Must stand up to reach the toilet paper on the opposite wall. The toilet is so cramped between the sink and the bathtub that I banged my elbow and arm when sitting on the toilet. I do a lot of traveling and this was the tiniest bathroom in a 4-star hotel I have had to use.
I believe Crown Plaza is the top of the line in the products of Holiday Inn. As a 4-star hotel, it was not good value.

We were very impressed with the amenities of the hotel. The room was very nicely laid out and freshly updated. Good use of space. Service to airport was prompt and efficient. We will definitely consider this location again for another time.

Thanks so much to the entire Crowne Plaza network. I booked a room on short notice with a late arrival, and arriving stressed and exhausted, was immediately put at ease by the front line staff.
The room was well appointed, clean and tidy, and my check out in the morning was smooth as silk.
Your staff was more than helpful in getting me on my way in the wee hours of the morning.
Couldn't have been happier with my experience ! and all this from a chance selection on the internet.

I had called the front desk to arrange my stay as I had an elderly person and a 6 yr old meeting me at the hotel before my arrival and I wanted to get an early check in. the front desk suggested a suite to make the stay more comfortable and accommodate a cot. They offered a good rate which offered breakfast so I was pleased. I had to call back several times as the reservation never got emailed to me and was made for the wrong day. It took many calls and 3 days to finally get it organized. When my family arrived at the hotel they were told that the room had been given to someone else and I was not getting the room I had requested. I was told I had to pay extra to get the more spacious room and the breakfasts that I had originally reserved. After my family waited over an hour for me to arrive in the lobby and after a having to make a scene, I finally got a spacious room which was nice. restaurant staff was wonderful. pool was freezing. and fire alarms went off for over an hour. My stay was supposed to be a nice experience for my family but was tainted by the reservation problem. I will never stay there again for them making me cause a scene to get the room I had reserved in the first place.
