There was no desk chair in the room.
One of 2 bed lamps was not working because it was not plugged into the wall behind the headboard. It was not easy to plug it in.
Bathroom: Must stand up to reach the toilet paper on the opposite wall. The toilet is so cramped between the sink and the bathtub that I banged my elbow and arm when sitting on the toilet. I do a lot of traveling and this was the tiniest bathroom in a 4-star hotel I have had to use.
I believe Crown Plaza is the top of the line in the products of Holiday Inn. As a 4-star hotel, it was not good value.

We were very impressed with the amenities of the hotel. The room was very nicely laid out and freshly updated. Good use of space. Service to airport was prompt and efficient. We will definitely consider this location again for another time.

Thanks so much to the entire Crowne Plaza network. I booked a room on short notice with a late arrival, and arriving stressed and exhausted, was immediately put at ease by the front line staff.
The room was well appointed, clean and tidy, and my check out in the morning was smooth as silk.
Your staff was more than helpful in getting me on my way in the wee hours of the morning.
Couldn't have been happier with my experience ! and all this from a chance selection on the internet.

I had called the front desk to arrange my stay as I had an elderly person and a 6 yr old meeting me at the hotel before my arrival and I wanted to get an early check in. the front desk suggested a suite to make the stay more comfortable and accommodate a cot. They offered a good rate which offered breakfast so I was pleased. I had to call back several times as the reservation never got emailed to me and was made for the wrong day. It took many calls and 3 days to finally get it organized. When my family arrived at the hotel they were told that the room had been given to someone else and I was not getting the room I had requested. I was told I had to pay extra to get the more spacious room and the breakfasts that I had originally reserved. After my family waited over an hour for me to arrive in the lobby and after a having to make a scene, I finally got a spacious room which was nice. restaurant staff was wonderful. pool was freezing. and fire alarms went off for over an hour. My stay was supposed to be a nice experience for my family but was tainted by the reservation problem. I will never stay there again for them making me cause a scene to get the room I had reserved in the first place.

My wife and I recently stayed at this property and it wasn't a great experience by any stretch of the imagination. When we had arrived we were assisted by a very helpful young lady, who we later learned was the hotel manager; however, things went down hill from there. Hotel staff did not appear to be friendly as they continued to walk right past my and I without greeting us or welcoming us to their property. The night staff certainly needs to be trained on how to deal with guests as he was rude to my wife.

Most hotels have nicer lobbies than rooms, but the opposite was true with this Crowne Plaza. The room was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was grossly overpriced, as is usually the case with hotel breakfasts.

It was a great experience to stay in the hotel, the rooms are nice and fresh, however the only not pleasant experience was the mood of the shutle bus drivers, they need to be courteous with the guests.

Not surprised to see that this hotel is only rating a 3.9 on average, and appears to be declining. I've stayed here multiple times over the last three years, and am feeling the love less and less each time I'm here. I think I'll look elsewhere next time. Staff is becoming more and more resistant to Platinum Priority customers -and unless you get an upgrade room the room space is cramped. There are a lot of good values at comparable or better hotels nearby - and I think they'll appreciate the business more. I used to look forward to staying here, too bad the trend is in the wrong direction.

Upon my visit to Toronto for 2 days I found this hotel to be very resonably pricedb since it was carribean festival and civic holiday weekend. I would have preferred to ne downtown but everyting was booked or very pricey. The location was not to bad of a drive and centrally located for business travelers. Upon our arrival the hotel was furnished well and cleanly. The staff were pleasant but the front desk was empty for 10 mins. upon our check in. Once we got our room it was well serviced with amenties we wanted and clean. As soon as we layed down in our bed I couldn't remember laying on a bed so firm in my life. We went to use the sauna, pool and hot tub. The pool and sauna were nice but the hot tub and area surrong were visable dirty. Overall the hotel was ok. A little more attention to to detail by staff and a new matress would make it a great stay.

We usually stay at this Crowne Plaza property whenever we travel. The basics are covered, free shuttle, guaranteed wake up call, necessities and personal comforts. What put us over the top this time was when we returned from the Bahamas. 4 of us stayed prior to our flight and it was as expected with great service and attention. When we returned we had experienced a cancelled flight, stuck out of country with no assurances on when/how we would get back. We were also quite concerned about our stay when we returned.
After the additional day and hours to get back to Canada, we limped (figure of speech) into the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport and approached the front desk. All I can say is that it was like coming home.....all worries and concerns were removed with above and beyond attention to ensure our comfort. The staff and management of this property have made it my families choice for stays in the future and anyone I can recommend.
Thanks to those that assisted us......the individual attention and compassion demonstrates the strong values possessed by such a great team.

I frequent this hotel a minimum of 4 times a month. I have no complaints with my stay and the staff here is fantastic. They are always welcoming and pleasant towards me. I will continue to stay at this hotel for that reason.

My husband and I spent a night in The Crowne Plaza Toronto while waiting for a connecting flight to Ireland. Toronto was experiencing a Heat Alert and the good sized room had fabulous air conditioning and our stay was extremely comfortable. We arrived at the hotel at almost midnight and were met with great courtesy and helpfulness. The Brasserie was still open and we were able to have a meal or snack which was very welcome after being almost 12 hours without 'proper food' We found the prices very good value and the breakfast next morning was very good. The reception staff were most helpful in helping us to make arrangements for the next day while we were waiting to go to the airport. A shuttle bus connects every half hour with the airpor, 10 minutes away and we really found this hotel uplifting in the midst of complicated travel arrangements. Thanks to all the staff for this pleasant experience.

The bed and outer sitting room were great. I had to phone about the previously patched hole in the bedroom wall (to make sure I would not be charged for damages) and to get someone to come fix the ceiling vent cover in the bathroom and the panel cover in the bathroom by the toilet - was not impressed that the SUITE was not better maintained.
For one night it was fine but if I had been staying multiple nights I would have requested a new SUITE!

This was a great first experience at CROWNE Plaza near the airport.We were catching a 9 am flight to London the next day and came in the evening before to have a visit with our grandchildren and their parents.We caught the shuttle at the airport,and our driver took care of our bags and took us to the hotel,brought our bags to the room and advised us about the shuttle next morning before he left.We settled in to a comfortable room (note to hotel : a GRAB BAR placed on the left of the bath tub would be a big help to every age guest getting in or out of the tub/ shower.) Also a shower cap
would be nice along with the shampoo etc.
The staff at the bar/restaurant were very accomodating.We had supper with our family and enjoyed having them all to ourselves
for a couple of hours.
Had an early wake up call and caught the 6 am shuttle to the airport.
Arrived in plenty of time and were not stressed at all.
Even our London flight arrived 20 minutes early and the queues at
Immigration were very fast.! All in all a great start to our UK trip !

This hotel is very close to the airport and there are three or four restaurants within walking distance. As a Priority Club member I received two free bottles of water. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I was in the updated part of the hotel, so I'm not sure what the other rooms are like.
The only con that I have is the Wifi in the room was very sporadic, which was extremely frustrating. Overall, this is a good place to stay if you are flying in or out of Toronto International Airport.

WE WERE THERE FOR A HOCKEY TOURNAMENT. GAVE US A MEETING ROOM FREE OF CHARGE SO PARENTS COULD HAVE SOME DRINKS AND KIDS COULD PLAY A BIT. MEETING ROOM WAS ON A FLOOR BY ITSELF AND OF COURSE THE KIDS GOT A LITTLE ROWDY LIKE THEY USUALLY DO AT TOURNEYS BUT THEY WERE VERY UNDERSTANDING.

I enjoyed my stay. Though the room wasn't one of the 'modern' ones, it wasn't bad in terms of décor. More importantly, it was clean! Bathroom was nicely equipped and spotless. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were nice and clean, no creepy stains to wonder about. Pillows were fluffy and there were enough to satisfy most pillow lovers. The in room fan/air conditioning unit was a bit noisy, but no more so than many hotels I have stayed at and much quieter than some!
I didn't use the amenities of the hotel as I was only there overnight and gone very early, but it was nice to know the room service was available whether I needed a snack or a whole meal...the menu looked great.
Given that it is so close to the airport, the sound of planes overhead was pretty loud, but nothing a set of decent earplugs couldn't overcome...and come on, it's at the airport. Noise is to be expected.
I would stay again, but perhaps book a modern room...just for the look of it.

The stay was alright. I didn't like the fact that my room did not have an alarm clock. And the other thing that i didn't like was the fact that the front desk person left and attended the pilots and left us there at the counter. Like they couldn't wait the ten minutes like everyone else. Anyways that is me just venting. over all the stay was good just a couple of things that didn't make it pleasant overall rating 8 out of 10.

We stayed for a single night for the Anime Convention occuring down at the TCC. We stayed often at the Holiday Inn which was a poor excuse for a place. So we decided for a new scenery. We highly enjoyed our stay, there was no mix up, no problems, the staff was highly courteous and polite. We will certainly be re-visiting on the next convention(s) down in the Toronto region.

Recently stayed at Toronto Airport for Anime North 2013, second year staying there, everything was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable staff, very clean and comfortable hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone, and will book again next year.

I was visiting the Toronto Airport Crowne Plaza for a convention, as I had for the past four years in various hotels. The first year we stayed in the Crowne Plaza with no hiccups, but because of availability issues we had to stay in other places for the other three years. The other hotels had their downsides, so we tried for Crowne Plaza this year.
When I went to check-in to my group's rooms, I was told the hotel would need the room payment and deposit for each room up-front, totalling way above the check-in payment I had expected! I was told this was basic procedure for all hotels, which I know is not true as any other year in every other hotel, including my previous experience at the Crowne Plaza, I only ever had to pay a deposit upfront and the rest would be paid at check-out. The rest of my group hadn't arrive, so I me and two others were stuck scrambling for money to check in.
Before we arrived I checked the hotel policy on check-in payments through the confirmation e-mails and their website, but there was no word this "new" policy at all. This was a communication error at its finest and left some members of my group with no money for the entire weekend.
