Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location, spacious rooms, clean NOT 5* Chose this hotel as we needed to stay some extra time in Vilamoura. We stayed in Deluxe room with views over Vilamoura. Rooms are spacious and clean. NO TEA/COFFEE making facilities in the room - THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A 5* HOTEL!!! Some staff are friendly, helpful but generally, staff are not acting as a 5* hotel. You have to pay an extra €10 per day to use the indoor pool and spa! On top of the huge nightly rate. This is disgusting. We certainly will not be returning and will seriously considering whether we stay in IHG hotels in the future. July 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding! Probably one of the best hotels that I've ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. The pool area was very clean and sunbeds were available up to 9am during our stay. There was complimentary fruit served round the pool in the afternoon which was a very nice touch. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned everyday with fresh towels. We only booked breakfast during our stay and this was very impressive with a very wide range of food available with lots of room in the restaurant either inside or outside .Overall a very impressive stay in a first class hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. July 24, 2014

It's a superb location near marina that's packed with restaurants. Really friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and beautiful location. Really enjoyed every minute of it. Will be back. July 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sunbathing on Holiday what a shame they spent so much on bringing this hotel up to the best standard in the area that they forgot to buy more sun beds. the most important thing while on holiday for my family is to relax and enjoy the sun but the Crown Plaza Vilamoura gave us some stress whilst waiting for a sun bed / bean bag. unless you get up at stupid O'clock to put your towel down on a bed you have no chance of getting one past 10am the pool guys have to go and hassle other customrs to get a spare bed or bean bag to lie out on in the grass area, you can forget the pool side as rude people get up very early in the morning to reserve them and hold them all day even when they leave the area for more than 2 hours. i also did not agree with handing out the towels from reception, the pool attendants need to control the bed situation and hand the towels out and stop people from reserving the best beds. but more so the hotels needs to buy at least another 100 beds for the grass area as the bean bags are not to everyones liking, also please ask the lady in the pool bar to smile more often and not to grump at the guests !! apart from that its not too bad a place to take a holiday July 23, 2014

There are no signs up and no one stopping sunbeds / bean bags being reserved from 10pm the previous night ! This is the only downside - please introduce a fair policy or you will lose repeat business. July 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Very Good We had a great stay and left feeling relaxed and happy. The only negative seems to be an imbalance between the number of sun loungers available around the pool area and guests wanting to reserve them for their exclusive use the entire day. I noted guests squabbling over reserved beds on several occasions (which is never attractive when everybody is supposed to be relaxing on vacation!) We love this hotel and will definitely return next year. My personal feeling is the hotel could benefit from another bar area or perhaps do something with the pool bar to improve its size and location. July 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay, but air con and wifi wasn't good in our room Everything was good, the food and service was good too, but the thing that was not up to standards was the the air conditioning. There wasn't much air con in our room and it was really hot all the time.That is not something I would expect from a 5 star hotel. Also, the wifi was also really bad in our room too. It was so slow and it took a long time for it to load. It would be good if that was sorted too. Other than that, the stay was all good. July 21, 2014
