Having visited the other hotels in the area the Crowne Plaza in Virginia Beach has been by far the best value and most rewarding and relaxing stay in the area. It is also conveniently located for easy access to downtown Virginia Beach. January 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home away from home I stayed there 2 nights is early January whilst contractors were redoing my hardwood floors. Hotel is very easy to get to with it being just of I264. Staff very welcoming and acknowledged my IGH rewards level. Despite being close to a highway, room was quiet. Good speed Wi-Fi. Virginia Beach town centre is only a km and change away so you can leave your car and enjoy the many fine restaurants via foot. January 12, 2014

The location is very convenient and they have all the amenities I need in a hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and functional. The room service staff are friendly and accommodating. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Staff is great, fitness center is subpar and management is slow to fix. First - the staff here is great. Every interaction that I had with them during my last stay was stellar, and management obviously does a great job during pre-hiring screening. Rooms are standard Crowne Plaza - comfortable and roomy. Internet was blah during my stay, probably saturated from too many connections - as a business hotel, an upgrade to their pipe is probably in order. My biggest issue, and the one that caused me to cancel a reservation I had for tomorrow night when I found out it wasn't fixed - both the recumbent bike and the multi-function weight machine in the fitness center are still broken. I brought this to management's attention when I stayed there a month ago, and as of today 2014.04.Jan, they're still broken. Probably not a big issue to a lot of folks, but enough to make me cancel and head down the street for this stay. If they're fixed when I'm back next month, I'd think again about staying here. Your mileage may vary - rooms are great, staff is great, location is great - but if you're looking for a facility with a good fitness center, I'd look somewhere else. Jim January 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by cleaning staff needs to learn to communicate with the front desk My wife and i came to stay for the weekend for my work so i was gone during the day. she was woken up the first morning after i left by an alarm. she called the front desk and they were rude and talked to her like she was stupid. then the next morning the cleaning staff banged on her door after they called her asking if she had a late check out which she did. through the door they started laughing and talking about my wife in the hallway. i mean really. after we contacted corporate about our stay they fixed it with rewards points. i will never stay there again.
