We had an excellent stay at "The Hamilton". We came to the hotel a little early in the day - but the staff warmly welcomed us and was able to assign us to a great corner exec. room with a nice city/street-view.
Check-in was fast and smooth and I was offered late check-out (not used) and thanks for being IHG Platinum member.
The room was clean and spacious with great beds and pillows and some great products from Temple Spa.
We decided to breakfast in the lounge - with tasteful continental breakfast, Starbucks-coffee and a smiling waitress.
I can only recommend "The Hamilton". We had an execellent stay. The hotel is centrally located for business and sightseeing in the center of Washington DC.

The rooms were the nicest I have ever seen. In a suite and we didn't want to leave the bedroom because bed was so comfortable and room's atmosphere was so very inviting. Just a beautiful hotel and the staff was A+++++, all the way from the front desk staff to housekeeping staff. Bellman were courteous and went out of their way to help you in any way. Can't wait to stay here again.

This is my second time staying at the Hamilton hotel and I have one word to describe this hotel...Amazing. The hotel is superb in terms of location, comfort, friendly staff, and overall value.
Location: This hotel is conveniently located on 14th and K where you have access to many great restaurants and evening locations. You are also conveniently located close to many of DC's landmarks. I have stayed in many hotels and DC and none compare to this hotel.
Comfort: The décor, the furniture, the room... everything is so relaxful. They provide you with great amenities that allows you to relax after a day of adventures.
Friendly Staff: The service and staff were superb! All were very knowledgeable and willing to help to ensure you have an amazing stay. I was celebrating my birthday this stay and they went out of their way to ensure it was a great celebration.
Value: Overall my stays here have been quite memorable with all of these elements encompassed. As previously mentioned, I have stayed in many hotels in DC but I keep returning to this hotel for its excellent management, service and experience delivered over and over again.

The room was very comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating, helpful and nice!!! Great Service!! Hotel conveniently located near the Metro Train Station making it easy to get around D.C. Would highly recommend this hotel.

My partner and I were excited to stay but we're slightly disappointed with some aspects of the hotel.
To begin with, I do not and will not understand why hotels that charge high rates are the only ones that charge an additional fee for internet. How is it possible that the cost to use the internet is not incorporated into the stay fee? It seems ridiculous and obscene to me.
The general cleanliness was just fine, however there was a heating unit which had been uncleared for years which disappointed us. Similarly, the toilet seat cover, which was a cheap plastic one to begin with, was highly scratched. This would likely be a $10 fix, so I am not sure why it was not done.
This in addition to silly prices like $5 for 12oz water just make me wonder why I pay hundreds of dollars more for a few blocks closer to the action.

The staff was outstanding; they were helpful and friendly in every department. I have no complaints on service. The room was on the second floor and was so noisy that we couldn't sleep. We could hear everything on the street all night long. Also, has the price of soap gone up because the hotel is very stingy about soap. We barely had enough; one bar for three nights and miniature shower gel tubes each enough for one shower. Very very annoying.

I have booked two rooms one for myself and wife the other for a professor attending a programme at the WB /IMF meetings, arriving on 10 October and leaving on 12 october.
The prof. was told prior to his arrival that he had no room reservation which was an embarrassment to me. I had to pay for Another room on the spot. The manager was very kind (!) to spare a room for me. He searched his records and could not find the reservation for Prof Kabir Hassan for which I have paid probably three weeks before my arrival.
The first reaction was that I have been conned by a wise guy.
My son works in NY and when I reached NY on 12 October, he found out that I did actually made the correct booking but the hotel staff were simply inefficient to trace it. Thanks God my money was returned to my account about a week later.
I have lost confidence in the manager for failing to find out the booking for Prof Kabir Hassan and causing an embarrassment on my part.

The hotel has been updated and has nicely decorated rooms, comfortable beds, LED TV and beautiful bathroom. Had a room facing the park which was nice and bright. Breakfast was good and we recommend this hotel for a stay in Washington.

The first night I was woken up at night (3:30am) by some noise coming from the street just below my room. I was on the fourth floor. The noise was not related to the hotel and two cars were parked outside the property with folks yelling at each other and hurling shoes at each other. The commotion continued for at least 30 min, at which time I called the front desk to see if they could do something about it. The staff person told me that he will have security look into it. None else had complained so they did not know that it was an issue. At 4:30am the noise had not stopped. The two cars were still parked on the street below and they continued yelling at each other. I requested that teh police be called. The staff suggested that they will move me to a different room. I got dressed and finally got into a different room at a higher floor at 6am.
Since several of our team members were staying at teh same hotel I had an opportunity to ask others about their experience and a few agreed that there was too much noise from the street that woke them up too.
The staff tried to help but I think it could be that the windows are not noise proof and there is little anyone can do to make the situation better.
Also as an IHG Club member, I was thinking I would have been given a room at the club level -- but they did not. In other hotels that I have stayed, I have had extra privileges.
I don't really want this negative review to be posted but I would like the manager of the property to hear about my experience.

My sons and I came here for a wedding weekend with lots of activities, so we were in and out a lot. Every time we left or entered the hotel there were staff at the doors, opening them, asking if we needed a cab, and they and the staff behind the desk were always smiling and helpful - really left an impression. By the end of the stay we were feeling pretty at home. The hotel is conveniently located; we walked to the capitol, about 20 minutes. Also, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and housekeeping exceptionally friendly. A really, really good experience.

I recently stayed here to attend a large conference, also held at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza. The conference and banquet facilities were very nice and the staff attending to the needs of attendees was outstanding! The "treat" was that in addition, the 14K Restaurant onsite was absolutely fabulous and the bed in my room was soooo comfortable!!!! I loved the historical feeling/look of the building...oh, and as an added plus, there is a Starbucks on site!!!! I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in DC!!!

Hotel is in a great location. Room very clean and beds are super comfortable. Restaurant in hotel more than meets the needs for the traveler. The breakfast buffet is superb and relaxing at the bar in the evening hits the spot. Only downside is valet parking is somewhat expensive but there are many local alternatives.

We both enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza, the hotel staff was very helpful in answering our questions. The room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was great. Many of the sites and the Verizon Center were walking distance. We had the breakfast buffet which had a very good selection of hot and cold foods.

The excellent service began when we first arrived at their door and continued up until the time we left. Staff could not have been more helpful or informative. The first few days we were in D.C., all govt. services had been suspended, which limited the usual places to tour. The hotel ,however, suggested touring options that proved to be both interesting and exciting. Our room was clean and the bed so comfortable it was difficult getting up in the morning.

Amazing service from the moment you pull up. The staff were very patient in answering our questions. When we needed an extra blanket; the staff were quick to meet our needs. The front-end staff were extremely helpful by providing additional parking options for one of our guests. The only problem we encountered was on our last day during breakfast. There was a slight disconnect in communication between the lounge greater and our waiter regarding the complementary breakfast. The issue was resolved rather quick without significant delay. Overall satisfied with the experience.

We were in town for a wedding, and the hotel was a great fit. Front desk staff was nice, concierge was excellent. The restaurant was much better than most hotel restaurants. Great drinks, happy hour deals, and really good food. (Bar service can be very slow during happy hour, ask to sit on the heated patio, you still get the same menu!)
Our only complaint was outside noise. We had a great view of the park, but the late night bars in the area, as well as sirens, led to being kept up a bit. If you're a light sleeper, ask for an interior room. Less view, but I'm sure a better nights sleep.
We would definitely stay again.

I loved the room and how close the location was for many of the attractions in downtown Washington. My only con for my stay was that I had to purchase wifi time. Many coffee shops/restaurants now have FREE wifi, so why can't that be a free amenity for the price I had to pay for the room.

This is very nice hotel. The service is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and the location is convenient. However , we probably would chose this hotel in the future because it charges for wifi. I feel a hotel of this quality and that offers so much for both tourists and the business traveler should not charge for wi fi service.

My husband and I stayed at the Hamilton for one month. As platinum members, we had access to the concierge lounge with breakfast in the morning (the most basic breakfast I have seen at a concierge lounge) and evening hors d'oeuvres. The evening attendant is horribly rude. She did not greet guests as they walked in, and never bothered to refill things as they went empty. One evening as my husband was watching the news she actually took the remote and changed it to Wheel of Fortune. She then proceeded to call out the answers at the TV.
My husband would often go down to the bar to watch football games during our stay. He always orders PBR. When he ordered a PBR one evening the waitress actually said to him "only you and the homeless man outside order PBR."
Our total stay in DC was three months, only one of which we stayed in the Hamilton. I will not mention competitors, but they all way out-shined the Hamilton.

My stay at the hotel was comfortable and the staff was attentive with the exception of the front desk and their manager. For a hotel located in DC, and many travelers working for a Federal, State and other government entities, I am surprised they were not comfortable or able to accommodate tax exempt status accounts in a efficient manner. Bringing closure to my situation requires additional time on my part after check out.
