Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay We had a wonderful time. Bed was absolutely marvelous, room view was spectacular. Loved how close we were to the metro station. Only downfall was the noise from the traffic outside. Our cable went out the second night, but when they couldn't fix it that night, they comped breakfast for us the next morning, which was great. Great overall experience, if just a tad pricey. March 7, 2014

However, the difference maker for my most recent stay was the great service. Each and every employee of the Hamilton Crowne Plaza that I interacted with was pleasant, respectful, accomodating, timely, and took great care to be sure my stay was high quality. March 7, 2014

I travel for business a relatively small number of nights a year, compared to some (15-20) and I love the Crowne Plaza in general and the one in downtown DC was terrific. Great value for price, very, very friendly and helpful staff and quite responsive to our one concern ( a barking dog in the room next to ours, that they dealt with it quickly-guess they called the dog owner back to quite the pooch down). Thank you CP, we look forward to staying with you again, in DC and elsewhere. February 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel, problems with 14K restaurant The Hotel was great, everything we expected, we had issues with the 14K restaurant, The food was very good, we just happened to get the worst waiter ever, 30 min for drinks, after asking hostess, after 55 min waiter had to retake our order because he messed it up, 1 hour 24 min dinner served, wait we have no silverware, 1 hour 51 min a free dessert, wait no silverware again, over 2 hours is unacceptable, tournament February 20, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible beds and barking dogs The rooms were clean and customer service was good. The beds were hard as a rock! It would have been better to sleep on the floor. Really should revoke the pets allowed in hotel. Heard dogs barking all hours of night. Restaurant food was good the service was bad. They delivered the food and never came back. I had to ask several people to get my check. Finally received check 45 minutes later! The hotel Wi-fi was terrible there was hardly any signal. This should be a free service for all hotel guests! The breakfast should be available to all hotel guests. Not $20 a person for hardly any food choices. February 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great city view Staff was great, had a room ready early. Gave me corner room with awesome view of K and 14th Streets. Heat worked, water warmed quickly. Very clean. White noise of HVAC overcame street noise. Beautiful hotel. Great fitness room with better equipment than many hotels. Had to trade room configuration comfort for windows: bathroom sink in corner, too far away to use properly. TV had to be to side of beds, due to windows, so not comfortable to be in bed watching TV. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ok but I was on the 12th floor and paid for extra amenities, these were great. The room, the view, we watched movies, everything was excellent. The older woman was especially sweet to us. The bad or unusual, I needed to take my car out to put some things in it and I was in a huge hurry. The cash I had for tips etc was left in the room by mistake - I apologized ... but the valet made me feel very uncomfortable and said he got off at 3 (and I better be back to tip him). This was out of line. He was a foreigner and taller and maybe a little older than the others. I didn't feel good about this now ... leaving my very expensive care in his care when I could tell he was not happy and gave me a dirty look when I left. Not to mention it was not cheap to park in the first place. February 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful hotel & great food at bar I found this stay to be excellent the room was neat clean & the bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the decor the only I would like is free wifi which I think should be a standard at any hotel. The restaurant had a surprisingly god selection & a more than expect happy hour deal that I took advantage of. Overall I would stay at this location it felt like a boutique hotel verses a chain & I loved that about this location. January 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A chilly week in Washington - but a warm welcome at the Crowne Plaza Hamilton Arrived during a snow storm and biting winds, however the warm welcome by all the staff at the hotel was great and much appreciated The room and service were excellent as was the food and refreshments in the bar and restaurant. The whole experience at the Hamilton was excellent and will certainly come back when the weather is better! January 28, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent, small room, and overcharged me The hotel overcharged me for the room which I noticed as I checked out. They had no problem fixing it at that time and it was relatively quick and done with a smile and apology. However, a bit annoying since I had to spend extra time on my expense report to explain the "adjustments' on the bill. The room was small, but nicely appointed. I was on the top floor, which I expected to be quiet, but it was actually very loud. The heating system runs loud here. Right in the heart of DC and close to metro though! January 16, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty awful experience I was forwarded to this hotel by a friend who works for a partnered hotel chain, had been there before, and highly recommended it. Now I can't complain about the hotel (it was beautiful) the room was very nice. Being extremely expensive to stay there I thought it was unfair that I had to pay for internet service as I own a business and am constantly doing work, that was really the only con about the hotel. Even the Starbucks in their bottom floor wouldn't offer free wi-fi and I try to be as cost effective as possible. The whole stay was great, and everyone was friendly, but what made my awful experience was the fact that a valet stole cash out of my car. They ONLY would offer me valet service, I felt more comfortable parking my car myself. It was to expensive seeking alternative means. I feel for a 4-star hotel this is not a problem I should have worried about. Then I think, well it is my fault, I shouldn't have left cash in my car (it was set aside for gas to get home) but regardless, unacceptable. January 10, 2014

From the moment the bellhops helped take off our bikes to the wonderful Rewards bonus appetizer in the bar to a fantastic breakfast with french pasteries--this place was totally awesome. Looking for only a clean place to stay one night while traveling home, I was astonished by the cleanliness, value and overall elegance of the hotel. The experience was what one uses for a special occasion rather than a clean bed for your head. I would highly recommend again for any visitor. January 2, 2014

From the price to the quality of the accommodations to the friendly staff and great service last year was great. We again visited The Hamilton and were treated as before. Besides being in a excellent location and walking distance to everything, the staff was amazingly helpful across the board. I highly recommend taking their breakfast deal. We have been to many Hotels though out the world and this one places up there on top!!!! December 31, 2013
