There were some 30,000 Jehovah's Witnesses at a convention that weekend and everything in the area was sold out. Hotel took that as an invitation for profiteering and bumped rates up 40%. Very nice property but I will not patronize them again.

1. You need to add in room vault for iPads, passbooks, wallets.
2. Please add some almond milk, better quality of jam and peanut butter without sugar.
3. All prepared food should have ingredientsn listed.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were courteous. the breakfast was of pretty good quality. If I had to identify any weaknesses, it would be that the pillows are too big (even the soft) to be comfortable and the refrigerator froze the salad I had stored.All-in-all it was a pleasant stay.

Went against all of my previous experiences of Holiday Inn Express. Don't let the name fool you, it's more like a cheap motel with none of the usual Holiday Inn Express immentities.

This Holiday Inn Express did not meet the normal expectations that I have received from other HIE. Room was small, beds were small, no microwave or frig, and in need of cleaning.
I stay at Holiday Inn Express all the time, and if they were like this one I would switch to another brand. The staff was very nice, however the rooms need updating and a better job of cleaning.

Hotel was very clean and modern. Unfortunately, I did not get the Front Desk Clerk's name when I checked in, but she was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, great soft bedding! Breakfast was delicious, loved the cinnamon rolls and again, everything kept clean and well stocked. The only thing that made me go "hmmm?" was when I made the reservation, I asked about the discounted rate for Froedtert Hospital. I was quoted a rate that was $10.00 more than the best rate on line. When I mentioned that, they said "oh ok, we can give you that rate". So, make sure you do your research prior to booking, so you know what's out there!

I checked in Friday evening at a few minutes to midnight after being up since 4 AM. On arrival to my room, the adjoining room admitted extra guests and the music increased. Tolerable at 8 PM, but I just wanted sleep. Darrell moved me to a second floor room, also clean, but next to the elevator. I kept hearing this hum noise and it could even be heard in the lobby. So, he patiently moved me again to a first floor room, that was totally quiet.
When I did a final room check before climbing into bed, I discovered the balcony door and screen were unlocked. The balcony was on a high first floor, I locked it and didn't hear another sound until 9 AM when my alarm rang.
I am always a sucker for the cinnamon rolls, fruit and yogurt for breakfast

We were in the area for medical appts and this hotel was very accommodating for pricing on medical stays. We checked in with no problems, the staff very friendly, in our room in minutes with no waits, and the room was very clean and smelled fresh. It had a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. You could tell it was an older property BUT it was maintained meticulously. Everything was what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The housekeeping staff was excellent and very considerate. The breakfast was very good and had a good variety. The only snafu that we ran into was the shuttle. That was one thing we planned on using to get to and from the Medical Center. We found out between us calling our reservations in and actually checking in that their shuttle driver had gotten another job. We let them know that we needed that and without hesitation two gentlemen stepped up and volunteered to drive us! One stayed an extra hour past his shift time to take us and another started early to pick us up. That made us feel better and showed they cared about their customers. Upon finding out we have to go back to the medical facility this next week, we made reservations with the same hotel again.

I have needed to use the accommodations more frequently over the last month, and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience. The hotel is really clean and the staff is always looking to go above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable.

I was impressed upon arrival that I did not have to remind them or ask them to upgrade me per my platinum status. I was checked in immediately to my upgraded room. I have no problems with the rooms or staff. It may just be that I just travel so much but I would like some originality in the breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will return.

Let me preface that I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn’s or HIE several times in Waukegan, Linconlshire and Skokie. I have always had a good stay. In Wauwatosa, however, the room that I was given on the first floor had curtains that would not close all the way.
The WORST part, however, was a certain staff member . I cannot say enough bad things about this person, she was on staff for the night shift. I had a friend come to visit and the doors were locked. This staff person gave my friend a hard time coming in to the lobby. She insinuated the reason was because I could be a “drug dealer.” I am a 36 y/o professional man. I wouldn’t know the first thing about dealing drugs. When I asked for the name of her supervisor and her email, she told me I could come up to the front desk to retrieve her card. This staff person's nastiness and unprofessionalism infuriated me. I did not sleep well, I left in the morning with a bad attitude. No one should have had to deal with this type of service.

This franchise does not have a guest laundry. That is a proplem for a one night stay.
Also breakfast was not what you usually get at a HIE. It is set up cumbersome. Hard boiled egg was down to one which looked like it survived lasts summers heat. 2% milk had turned and tea selection was one: Lipton, which I still do not understand why you can label it tea.
Rooms were good and clean. Location is good. Value based on above was below average.

I always return to this hotel when I visit Milwaukee
The location is great, easy to get off highway, available shopping and restaurants and they take small dogs with a 1 time small pet fee. Free breakfast bar is good too

We had a very good experience at this hotel and you were 5 minutes away from everything we needed. Our room was warm,clean & inviting. Your breakfast was more than we expected for a complimentary breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to return ifwe were in the area again.

As a retired person we do a lot of weekend adventures visiting a variety of motel, hotels and bed and breakfast facilities.
We spent 3 days and two nights at the Holiday Inn express. Our group and personal needs could not have been better met. The facilities were perfect and ALL staff were cordial and welcoming. I highly recommend the Milwaukee Holiday Inn Express to anyone needing small or large group accomodations.

This is just a 'old-wine-in-a-new-bottle' property. The pictures don't tell the whole story. This is is a renovated property and the signs are all over the place especially the bathrooms!
Housekeeping standards were unacceptable as there was a tissue floating in the toilet when I opened the toilet cover. Hair was all over the room! Yuck! Bulb on the writing desk lamp - Kaput! As for the pillows that were labeled Firm or Soft but you couldn't figure out which was which as they were the same firmness. Obviously the housekeeping staff didn't care which pillow cover to put on them.
Check in wasn't a good experience either. Staff wasn't as friendly as what I am used to. Being a Gold Member level, there was no welcome gift offered or the courtesy of extending some points. When asked, I was told they don't offer this! But then was told (as if I was being done a favor) if I wanted a bottle of water! Sorry, but no thanks!
Half the breakfast trays were empty at 8am the next day when I went for breakfast.
I was booked for this same hotel the next week. Immediately canceled the reservation and rebooked at the nearby Crowne Plaza. Don't mind paying a little extra and staying in a clean hotel instead of this MOTEL...

The room cards deactivate super easy if you have the card in your left pocker and a phone in your right don't plan in it working to get in your room. My room smelled like smoke really bad and it was a little run down. Good rates for the stay and very friendly staff so I would still have to say it was a decent stay.

First of all let me start out, my wife and I have been staying at this property for 18 years, and we are very disappointed. We made reservations for two rooms, we checked in on Friday October 18, 2013 at 3 p.m. We confirm with the front desk on our second room that we had reserved for my parents, the front desk confirmed the reservation for both rooms, and all information is in the system (in there name, check in October 19, 2013) Saturday night my parents show up, went to the front desk to check in, and they have no reservation in there name, and on top it they were completely booked, my parents had to actually go across the street to another hotel and on top of it was their anniversary, I don't think we'll ever stay at this property again.
That just showed us, that the front desk help really does not care, just a job, It's a shame.

Great staff, hotel was clean, everything in order. Parking a little tight, but that is because it is a popular hotel. Restaurants, grocery store, mall all very close. We got a suite for 3 of us, will stay here again the next time in the area. I must comment on the staff again, very friendly and professional.
