The hotel is still in remodel mode but coming along. The pool was excellent and I am assuming they are heating it which is wonderful for early in the season to be able to swim with a 3 year old and not be cold. New dining room is nice with all the windows however the buffet line is in an unattractive and small space. The chef did a great job with the waffle and egg station.

great room

we were looking for a handicap accessible room with a roll in shower. The room was big and comfortable. While the 'roll in shower" wasn't actually roll in, it was a shower with about a 4" rim around it and with the two of us we were able to get the handicap person in the shower.

Nightmare Night

I checked into this property on Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. Initially, everything seemed fine, and we liked the location of the room we received. Once we returned from dinner, however, it was a different story. Our room was swarming with gnats. There were scores of them. Around the beds, lamps, desks, even in the bathtub. We had made sure to leave the balcony door closed before going to dinner, so it's improbable that they entered from there. Nevertheless, we were extremely uncomfortable. I called the receptionist and was told that they could move us to another room. The one we were offered, however, was in a villa in a dark and secluded portion of the property. We initially accepted, but we were given the wrong key and couldn't even get in to it. At this point we were really over it and went back to the lobby to see about having a room in the main portion of the hotel. Everything was sold out, however, and we were only offered our old room back which we we reluctantly accepted. It was very difficult to sleep that night with the gnats flying around. This was one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays I have had. There's a lot of construction going on there right now, so I'm not sure if this contributed to the infestation, but apparently we weren't the only guests with this issue. The only positive thing I can say is that most of the hotel reps were kind and helpful.

rooms nice however bathroom too small

Should consider enlarging bathrooms. There is so much space when you enter the room that is actually not being utilized. This space could be used to add space to the bathroom.
