Tired Hotel

The first impression of the hotel and lobby are good but when you get to the room the look of the rooms are tired and worn. Checking in was the standard good greeting for Platinum membership and love the fast elevators. But when you get to the room you first notice the furniture, appliances, and general décor, has not been updated since the Nixon era. Here is a list of the things you will focus on when sitting in the room at leisure:

● The sofa is so worn and stained; it reminds me of the junk you see for sale in a Goodwill store. I suggest that’s where Crowne Plaza send all of them.
● The same goes for the desk. The scratched up and scarred relic of someone’s garage sale (in a really bad neighborhood) needs replaced with a desk that has electrical outlets for computers and USB ports to charge all our gizmos of today.
● Electrical outlets are not found unless you move furniture. I didn’t know we had to bring our own power strips.
● Coffee pot is one of those old single cup makers typical of a cheap motel. The last hotel I was at the night before had a K-Cup type and offered several varieties of coffee. The one in our room would only make one cup and need to rest an hour before making another. My wife had to wait on hers. She went to the desk to complain and they gave her another one. So we had to use two at the same time to get coffee in the morning.
● The laundry room had only one washer and one dryer. We stayed for a week because I was there on business and needed to do laundry after a couple of days. We were surprised to not only see one washer

over all it was a good hotel, the breakfast could have been better and offer more fruits and yogurt.
coffee was good . the room was dark enough I was able to get a good rest.

My husband and I enjoyed the stay at the S. Brunswick Cowne Plaza. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the grounds were clean and it was located with a bar/restaurant which was convenient.

It was a short drive to the beach ( PT. Pleasant ) - it took us about 45 minutes to get down there and we proably paid less then half of anyone in Pt. Pleasant paid staying in a hole in the wall! So Id say we did good!

Great service some plumbing is dated but clean. There is a lot of traffic from overseas visitors and from special events going on in the lobby area however rooms were quite.

We ere very happy with our stay! Rooms were clean however, I was disappointed to find that the faucet in the bathroom was falling apart and not mounted to the sink. We were also disappointed that the pub quickly ran out of breakfast items in the buffet and did not re-fill quick enough or with some items at all. I don't think they could keep up with the large group there. BTW...we were at breakfast at 7:35 am and already food was done. They only started at 7:00 am..

Our stay was comfortable with the exception of being on the third floor right near the elevator. At night there were children sitting and hanging out by the elevator so it was noisy.

The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that I wish this hotel had a hot tub.

Overdue for a remodel/facelift

The hotel is in a convenient location and the rates are good, but it appears to be 5 years past due for a remodel. The room furnishing are well-worn, the wallpaper is peeling and the carpets stained. Yogi's, the onsite restaurant, has a convenient bar with good service, but the entire restaurant/bar lacks any ambience or comfort one would expect at other IHG branded locations. The breakfast buffet featured no utensils at the table, stale bread, and unappealing/uninspired options of even the most basic kind.
