An oasis in the city

This was my 3rd time staying at this property for a business function. My sleep room was recently renovated and the grounds continue to be as I remembered - a tropical oasis. Staff were attentive, pleasant and went out of their way to help rectify my problem - I discovered I had lost a power cord to my projector and was scheduled to start a seminar in 90 minutes. Needless to say, they saved the day for me.

Enjoyable experience

Love the property Hawaiian theme. The property is environmentally friendly and they reward you with a $5 voucher to help them. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and large. Breakfast was good. Overall I recommend this property.

Good for sleeping but.............

An ok hotel but ready for a facelift.
Very good and comfortable bed.
Staff were polite and attentive although there was no shuttle service to the airport until after 7 am.

Unfortunately, we do not have an airport shuttle, but our shuttles do take guest to Fashion Valley, Old Town, the Zoo and Sea World. Only have a couple suggestions.

First of all I called ahead of time to ask if they had 4 cup coffee pots that brew coffee because I was bringing my filters and starbucks grounds (and I bring my own if the hotel does not offer them.) I was told Yes they had one in each room. Then I checked in to find out it was a single cup/tea bag type pod. So I called to get the regular pot and was told I could bring my starbucks down to the kitchen every morning and they would brew it for me and put it in a carafe for me. Seriously??? At 5am who wants to go from the 4th floor to the kitchen in their pajamas for coffee? I went to Target and bought my own machine. What is with the cheap little pods? Disgusting taste. Secondly...the beds are super uncomfortable. I have stayed in many hotels and rarely have such uncomfortable beds. Thirdly, the parking should be separated for paying overnight guests, and the special functions. We had trouble parking because some fight was going on and the parking lot was full. We had to complain and park illegally until the event was over. You know how many guests have paid so the area should be seperate.
