For the first time in a decade, I wasn't impressed

I have stayed in this hotel for a yearly conference for over a decade, and this is the first time I haven't been totally impressed. At 1 am on the first night we experienced a blackout. While the power failure was in no way the hotel's fault, the total failure to provide any information about the situation was. Given the late hour, I'm sure there was no perfect solution, but some attempt to provide information on the situation (perhaps a voice mail on the hotel phone) should have been attempted. This was a particular issue to other members of my group that had medical devices that require electricity.

Next, was the poor service at a conference luncheon. The apparently ample staff appeared to be running around in a confused manner, and was unable to keep the buffet and beverage stations supplied, in some cases, for 10-15 minutes at a time.

Finally, and most importantly, the normally speedy wifi in my room was so slow as to be totally unusable until very late at night. This was not the normal slow down you experience with a large number of users, but a virtual standstill that prevented any use of the service. When I spoke to staff about this, I was told that there were was a fair number of people staying in the hotel, as if one should expect a hotel's services to be subpar when there are other guests at the location. I find this unacceptable in a business class hotel, particularly for a service that they are charging for.

In conclusion, I will most likely stay here again next year, simply due to the convenience factor. With any luck, these problems will be resolved, otherwise I will be searching for another hotel in the future.

I am sorry your experience was not as enjoyable as all the years past. As the power outage was not our fault as you noted, I will review your feedback with the staff to see how we can make this less of a burden to our guests in the future if this occurs again. I have addressed your luncheon with our F&B Manager and any necessary action will be taken. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. In regards to the Wi-Fi, I am not sure why the speed was not available. I addressed this with our IT team and our equipment is operating properly and we have not received any other complaints. Crowne Plaza still values customer satisfaction. Check and Reservation Manager very helpful. Sales office helped with last minute needs for presentation. Only thing I wish offered would be morning coffee or night time snack as other hotels provide.
Overall a great experience.

Amazing Customer Service

My husband and I were on our way back home to Tulsa from Chicago. We had made a quick trip up for a friends funeral. It was late almost 11pm when we got to the hotel.
The Associates were amazing. I wish I could remember their names. The young lady at the desk immediatly got us a room and when asked about food, they said the resturaunt closed in 10 min. However she would call and get us what ever we wanted.
She ordered 2 ceasar chicken salads for us. The bar tender came out and welcomed us and asked if we wanted a drink. He provided excellent service. The chief/waiter brought us our food to the lobby outside the bar. We were the only ones there. They treated us like we were royalty.
The beds and room were very comfortable. We didn't get to eat breakfast because we needed to get on the road. We will be back .
