Good Convention hotel

Good size regular room (by japan standards) Great Breakfast Buffet Great restaurants in hotel Easy to utilize Convention center Mall/Center/restaurants connected to subway with easy access to [More] main train station to Bullet trains. Nice harbor to walk and jog. Nice staff [Less]
Spacious room and great service.
By afrc
Recognition for Ambassador level. Immediate upgrade to sea view room with three beds since there were three adults. After a long day of sightseeing and shopping, it was a pleasure to relax and get a [More] good night's sleep in the very comfortable beds. Room was always immaculate when we returned every day with mineral water and amenities replenished daily. We first stayed at the Yokohama Grand last March 2015 and with the great time we had last year, we decided to stay here again. The hotel adjoins a shopping mall with the Minatomirai and Sakuragicho train stations just minutes away. With the friendly and great staff we will always stay at the Yokohama Grand. [Less]

IHG Tokyo Bay is by far the best IHG hotel I ever stayed at. The staff are incredibly hospitable and courteous. It is rare to see these traits anywhere else in the world. I sincerely give my deepest [More] gratitude to all the staff that made my stay wonderful. The hotel recognized my Ambassador status and generously gave outstanding complimentary upgrades as such. I wish I stay was longer because I sincerely miss the people and the accommodations. [Less]
Club Lounge Superb
By Akizuki297
A frequent visitor to several IHG hotels; of them all I find this Club Lounge (along with the Wellington, NZ, one) the best - staff make it feel like a second home (and office). Great view over Tokyo [More] an added benefit. [Less]
Clean room but a bit small
By shelshel
The room is a bit small compared to other Intercontinental hotels we've stayed in. The property is a bit older too. While the stay is comfortable, I would point out that the room service selection [More] is a bit small for late night. The porridge I ordered one night was overly salty. If there were western-style soup or ramen on the menu, it would be great. [Less]
Great location to explore Tokyo
By DBogda
This was my fifth stay in this hotel. Main reason I chose it that it has an excellent location in a wonderful neighborhood in Tokyo, with an easy access to all major tourist attractions. There are [More] four metro lines passing by, and one can easily walk to Ginza/Marunouchi area from the hotel. Just across the street are lively Akasaka and Roppongi areas of Tokyo. Next to hotel is also one of the most picturesque streets - Sakura zaka - especially during sakura season, which is great a pleasure to walk through. Also worth mentioning is the whole ARK hills complex where the hotel is located, with lovely cafes and restaurant. This is my favorite spot to start a day in Tokyo. As for hotel itself, it still looks great and is maintained perfectly. Best asset is certainly the view one gets from the room, Try to get a room on a higher floor it's really worth it. It really doesn't matter on which side you are - you will either have a view of the imperial gardens and parliament, Tokyo Tower or Mount Fuji (depending on visibility). All are just magnificent. Rooms do tend to be small for standards one would expect from an Intercontinental. I've always stayed in a junior suite, but it also doesn't offer too much space. It's sufficient for stay, but offers very little storage room for your stuff and after a bit of shopping, the room can get crowded. Service is excellent, and tentative, exactly as one would expect from Japan. My only complaint is the front desk, which can get very busy, as hotel is huge, which lead to a of frustration during check-in and check-out process. Worth mentioning is that most of the time, priority check-in counter is not working. [Less]
