Featured Derby Hotels

With one located within the city centre and another within a 10 minute walk of the city centre, our Derby hotels offer value for money and a great place to relax whatever your reasons for coming to the city.

Located in the East Midlands, Derby is well served by trains to most mainline stations in England thanks to its central location. It is also located just off the M1 for easy access by road from the North and the South of England. The Peak District National Park is located around 30 minutes from the city by car.

Derby's All Saints Cathedral is one of the city's main landmarks and is certainly worth a visit, not only for the stunning architecture but also, if you're really lucky, to see some of the resident peregrine falcons flying around during the breeding season. The Grade I listed St Helen's house, which dominates the city's King Street, and the Victorian Market Hall on Market Street are certainly worth a visit too.

Derby Museum and Art Gallery is the place to be for fans of Derby's own Joseph Wright with a whole host of his works. The stunning Pickford House shows off the Georgian era with its fine furniture and decor.

Shoppers will find traditional shops and boutiques in the cathedral quarter of the city with a great range of stores. This combined with Derby's superb Westfield shopping centre - with more than 190 stores set in a stunning building - really sets the city out as probably the East Midland's prime shopping location.

Whether you're coming here to watch Derby County at Pride Park, to shop in the popular shopping areas or for an important business meeting, be sure to get the most from your stay with a night or two at one of our Derby hotels.

Holiday Inn Nottingham Castle Marina
By Brumus
A lovely place to stay for a night out in Nottingham, close enough to the City centre but far enough away to avoid the problems of city centre parking. A definite venue for the future [Less]
Great service in a busy city.
By BigRab
Nottingham can be a difficult city to drive round and park. The Holiday Inn is fairly central and local taxis can be used to go out for the evening leaving the car in the secure, free hotel car park. [More] A very comfortable hotel to relax in for the weekend. [Less]
Business stay
By Man from Kent
Excellent hotel for business. Hotel staff are very good at helping when needed in everything from food requests to sorting out bookings. I would totally recommend this hotel if asked. Will definitely [More] come again. [Less]
Great Location
By Lashes_38
Stayed here for my partners birthday and thought the hotel was great for location as it was in the center. Hotel had great facilities and was presented very well. Staff were friendly and prompt when [More] we asked for extra pillows. Breakfast was good The only moan that I had was that for being in a club room on the 8th floor, our room was very small, but not worth a complaint as we only slept in the room. Thanks [Less]

There's something special about this Crowne Plaza
By Bowoman58
I don't know if it was the spacious and elegant lounge, the comfortable, quiet rooms, the pool, the steam or Jacuzzi, or a combination of all these plus an outstanding and helpful staff, but there [More] was just something special about our stay here. I've been an IHG member for several years and have stayed at many Crowne Plazas. All of them are good. Some of them are great. But this one had a special feeling of comfort coupled with excellence. Well done, indeed. Thank you, Crowne Plaza, Nottingham. You exceeded my expectations. [Less]
Very friendly and child-friendly hotel and staff
By jjuniper
A lovely, bright, clean hotel with good service and food. Dave on reception and Craig in the restaurant were always friendly and helpful. A shame about the noisy Casino next door but it is a city [More] centre hotel. [Less]
Uncomfortable bed but great service
By WLE14
Booked an executive room and was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room - nice layout and sofa and chair a great addition. Bathroom was small but very clean and no signs of age or wear [More] and tear. We had breakfast delivered to our room which was delivered exactly on time - the fruit juice wasn't the best and the cooked breakfast a little on the cold side but overall we enjoyed. There was a little noise outside but surprisingly quiet being a city centre hotel and a Saturday night. The only issue we had was the bed - we expected a bigger bed with an executive room but also it was quite uncomfortable - the centre dipped which you could see just looking at it. [Less]
Comfortable and clean, friendly staff
The hotel was clean and comfortable with (although small) good gym facility on site. Only real negatives were the car park arrangements are misleading and the food (whilst being good) was limited in [More] choice. However, most important thing was it was clean and comfortable and all staff I dealt with were friendly and polite. [Less]
