Featured Newport Hotels

We have two Newport hotels for guests to choose from, so we can put you up within easy access of the M4, the city centre and Celtic Spring Business Park. So whether it's a business visit or simply for fun, make us your choice.

Newport is within half hour's drive of Cardiff. However, this city is more than just a base close to the Welsh capital. It holds its own in terms of entertainment and culture.

For starters, Newport is home to the Newport City Museum and Gallery, as well as the impressive National Roman Legion Museum. You can explore the remains of the Caerleon Roman Fortress, a real insight into our Roman Heritage.

If you've got time to hit the shops after exploring the museums and fortress, then the city centre Kingsway Shopping Centre is within easy reach of both of our Newport hotels. There are more than 30 shops in the centre, largely made up well known High Street Brands.

We can't possibly talk about Newport without mentioning the Celtic Manor Golf Course – a must visit for any golf fans in the city.

For those driving to Newport, the M4 runs right past the city. There are also excellent rail links. You can get direct train services to London, Manchester Cardiff and other cities. It takes just over two hours to reach London and just over 3 hours to reach Manchester by rail.

So whether it's business, pleasure or even just a quick night's stopover, if you're heading for Newport come and stay at one of our Newport hotels

Training in Bristol - overnight stay
By HVT71
The hotel staff were marvellous and very helpful. There was a mis communication which became apparent when I checked in but that was sorted out (more than fairly) without any trouble at all. Lovely [More] clean room; comfy bed; internet worked fine but was just a little slow at one point during the evening; TV and everything in the room was fine; breakfast was very simple, very basic, completely self service but more than adequate to set you up for the day ahead. Great staff, Location brilliant!
By Hoffy22
Prime location opposite temple meads, especially as i was traveling back and forth from Swindon. Room was tidy and comfortable and staff were very helpful. Quieter than id have ever expected being [More] Bristol city centre. Pleasant chaps on reception during check in, ever so helpful! The young lads on the late night shift were also great and could not help enough. will be sure to return very soon. RH [Less]
Good value and location. Great staff
By Annie_B51
We only stayed one night, As a family group to celebrate my birthday. The staff were very welcoming and phoned our room to check all was ok. My daughters in the room next door asked to move as there [More] was a slight smell in their room and this was dealt with efficiently. The lady on reception suggested a good quiet time for breakfast as we had a small child with us. Location excellent for railway station, restaurants 10 mins walk away [Less]
A golden oldie
By Kennymac72
Have to say this is probably an older hotel however it is great quality. Rooms were clean, staff friendly and breakfast was great. The hotel location is not the best and a wee bit out of the way if [More] you are looking for a night out in Bristol. Overall 10 out 10 [Less]
A good night's sleep

Yet another pleasant stay. A good night's sleep, friendly front-desk staff (as always) and excellent / speedy room service (again, as always) [Less]
In need of some updating!
By Monty63
Not the best hotel that I have ever stayed in, but by no means the worst. The decor throughout the hotel is tired and the hotel has little if any soul. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The [More] dining experience in the hotel can best be described as average, but filing. The best things about this hotel is its friendly, efficient staff and the fact that it is miles better than the nearby Holiday Inn Express, which frankly is dire! [Less]
What you'd expect from an Express hotel
By Mr Blue21
Generally does the basics well. Great for overnight stays. Not much in the local area but this hotel has a pretty good pub right next door with reasonable menu. [Less]
"Above Average "
By Whiskers1944
Pleasant staff, and helpful.Parking not a problem, and Sainsburys petrol station five minutes away.Nice size television, duvet a bit too hot, even with the air-con off.Window kept closed in case of [More] noise, but not too bad as it happened.Good shower and air-con,and although there is a notice in the room to ask for extra milk if you need it,you will need it,so ask before you get there. No biscuit or snack on the tray, which surprised me,but that was the only down side.Free wifi good in the room. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable choice, remember, you are not at the Niebieski Art Hotel & Spa Krakow, nor the Savoy.Four pillows issued, two hard and two not so hard. Kept clean everywhere as far as I could see,all in all a good hotel. [Less]
One night stay
By Pride of Hull
This is a standard Holiday Inn Express in a good location for the attractions in the Bristol area. My only complaint would have to be the hot breakfast - OK if you like beans and sausages but [More] definately not a full English and no way to upgrade. Mind you the continental breakfast selection was reasonable. [Less]
