Featured Plymouth Hotels

If you are searching for Plymouth hotels, look no further. Stay with us in one of the south coast of Devon's premier locations and take advantage of all that this vibrant, modern city has to offer.

Plymouth is easily reachable by train from London, Bristol and Birmingham and nearby Exeter Airport is just 40 miles away, offering national and international flights. Drivers can approach on the M5 to Exeter and then continue onwards along the A38.

Plymouth's history, as with many places on England's south coast, is primarily one of maritime and naval traditions. The Industrial Revolution saw the city become a major trading post and passenger hub for people travelling to and from America. The city's Barbican was one launching point of The Mayflower and the stunning Royal Citadel on Plymouth Hoe was built after the English Civil War as a naval defense.

Visitors will be able to experience all of the city's historical landmarks and attractions. Not to be missed is the city's Grade I listed lighthouse, Smeaton's Tower, which offers spectacular views over Plymouth Sound. Dartmoor National Park is on the city's doorstep and is well worth a visit with one of the many guided tours that are available.

Culture vultures need look no further than the Theatre Royal and The Drum. The former is the largest in the South West and regularly stages musicals, opera and ballet performances. The Merchant's House also gives a unique insight into the city's trade history.

The newly rebuilt Drake Circus shopping centre is the first port of call for all shoppers out there, with all of your regular high street names under one roof. Plymouth's own Independent Quarter offers a fantastic unique shopping experience with a vast array of independent retailers selling the best that Devon has to offer.

Whether looking to take advantage of the city's coastline, to have an adventure holiday in Dartmoor or simply for somewhere to unwind after a busy day of meetings in the city, our Plymouth hotels are just what you need.

Comfortable bed, shame about the beer
By Crawley Chris
Comfortable room, although the seagulls are a bit noisy! selection of beers is not good, all beers are very chilled and ther is no real ale! Carpark is very cramped making it difficult to park even [More] a smallish car! [Less]
Good Location
By D-Azur Trader
We stayed for two nights on a leisure trip. The room was OK - must be about due for a refurbishment, especially the bathroom which is of a style used many years ago and not often seen in many Hol [More] Inns these days. The staff are good and responsive. The restaurant has splendid views over Plymouth Hoe and out to sea, and we ate breakfast there - a standard buffet, but quite good value. Due to the view we had a drink in the bar on the top floor one evening, but the drinks are not cheap, and no nuts/crisps/olives offered - much less friendly than the lobby bar. Reasonable strength wi-fi in the room. [Less]
