A few steps from Paddington Station, the hotel is ideally situated to become your base for a weekend escape or multi-day trip to London.
Once the friendly people at the front desk checked you in, you
will discover a clean, well-maintained and cozy-modern room with a comfortable bed and lounge chair(depending on your selection). Don't expect Laura Ashley's flowery English country design - the hotel is modern, with dark furniture and colorful accents, but not über-cool or anything, but warm and welcoming.
For whatever reason, having a cup of tea in the room is particularly nice in London, and you will find everything you need for said cup in your room. Although coffee-lovers will also be pleased to find a Nespresso machine at their disposal, with three capsules stocked up daily.
In London, space is at a premium, so don't expect ballroom-sized accommodations, but you can expect a well laid-out room that offers all the creature comforts. The large shower with rainforest showerhead, good water-pressure is a treat. The designer sink however, with its low faucet, is a little less practical. A heated towel rack and big towels provide a certain sense of luxury.
Also, having a nice big TV is always a plus, even if you do not spend a lot of time in your room.
BTW, the restaurant at the hotel is definitely an option - the wait staff is truly nice, and the food is fine.
All-in-all, I only stayed for a weekend, but I will happily (and hopefully soon) return for another weekend to the Indigo Hotel Paddington . [Less]
