Featured Chicago Hotels

Chicago is a land of rich culture, unique architecture, delicious food, famous winds and more. The city—America’s third largest—is home to more than 2.7 million people, which rises to 10 million when you include residents of the greater Chicago area. It is a great sports town, where the Bears shuffled up a Super Bowl victory, Michael Jordan once ruled the NBA, and the Cubs and White Sox still swing for the fences. With dozens of Chicago hotels to choose from, IHG has the perfect room for your visit to this major Midwestern city. Plan your trip to Chicago with additional tips from the IHG Travel Blog, starting with our

Things to See
One of Chicago’s foremost attractions is 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory). Located on the 94th floor of John Hancock Center, it offers 360-degree views from a 17,000-square-foot observation deck, and visibility of up to 50 miles—a range that includes Chicago’s skyline, four nearby states and Lake Michigan. You can also dine and shop, or test your mettle at Tilt, a glass-enclosed platform that extends outward from the building at a 30-degree angle as you lean against it.
Lincoln Zoo, which offers all guests free admission year-round, has hundreds of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians for your family to meet. You can explore the city’s rich and fascinating past at Chicago History Museum, admire the abstract at Museum of Contemporary Art, and take a boating tour of waterside wonders at Navy Pier, which also
features mini-golf and a 150-foot Ferris wheel. You’ll find great live music at Green Mill, amazing urban architecture at Millennium Park, and a whole universe to discover at Adler Planetarium.
Hotels in Chicago
Chicago hotels offer a variety of ways to make your visit as comfortable and convenient to your needs as possible, whether you’re traveling solo for business or seeking a relaxing vacation with loved ones.
Where to Stay
Book a room on Magnificent Mile, a bustling section of Michigan Avenue with upscale shopping and entertainment, if you want to be in the heart of Chicago's action. The scenic and walkable area that includes Gold Coast and Old Town has a thriving nightlife, while Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville have fantastic nearby attractions for fun-seeking families.
How to Get to Chicago
O'Hare International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and has a variety of ground transportation options. Midway International Airport handles mostly domestic flights and is unlikely to be as crowded as O'Hare, and other choices include Gary/Chicago International Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Several Chicago hotels have shuttle service, however it’s a good idea to investigate public transportation options in the event it is not offered by your hotel.

Clean, Comfortable & Convenient
By Schotzie
I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Chicago O'Hare Area numerous times, as my company's office is close by. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and the rooms have always been neat and [More] clean. The onsite restaurant is convenient, and the food and drinks have always been satisfying. In addition, this hotel has a free shuttle to and from Chicago O'Hare Airport, which is a plus for travelers. [Less]

Weekend visit to Chicago
By WSeaJim
I wanted a reasonably priced and clean hotel that offered great access to O'Hare Airport and city. This hotel met those expectations, but this hotel needs a refresh or update not just in the rooms [More] but also the lobby area. If you don't plan on living at the hotel and just need a place to sleep, then it is fine. But if you want to spend more time there, it does look a bit outdated. [Less]
Service with a great attitude
By Monamia
I called the day before our arrival just to get a handle on the subway system from the airport to the hotel. The gal that handled my call gave me great instructions and when I arrived the next day [More] she was there so I could thank her in person. She didn't treat me like an idiot for what turned out to be so painlessly easy but went so far as to say she gets that it was new to me and anything new can be intimidating. What a great example of professionalism for my daughter to see also. [Less]
Comfortable bed and great service
By St. Louis Realtor
The location is excellent for walking to the many great sights, dining and shopping spots in Chicago. The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. The rooms are comfortable but our particular [More] room had a bench for luggage instead of a desk. I would prefer a desk and more visible plugs for charging phones, etc. [Less]
Not wide room, but enough equipments
By jimbouts
TV has basic cable channels, pan cake machine was very curious, I enjoyed the stay. [Less]
