My Thoughts
Modern room and friendly staff. Wish I had been informed prior to my arrival that the hotel was under renovations. Pool and fitness room were not available. Breakfast area only had two table in the [More] small lobby area. Every time you get up to get coffee the front door of the hotel opened. [Less]

You can count on Holiday Inn Express to provide excellent rooms that are clean and comfortable. Though this location was under renovations and many of the amenities were not in service the room was [More] new and clean and comfortable. The front dest was also very helpful and courteous. Once the construction/renovations are complete this will be an outstanding place to stay! [Less]

overall experience was very good I always sleep well in HIE. since hotel is under renovations there are couple suggestions that I have: 1. when redoing bathrooms - celling's in the showers need more [More] attention, celling in the shower just don't match quality to all the other upgrades. 2. note to remodel project manager and of course hotel manager: - keep cleaner front desk/cafeteria and hallways, - it looks like contractors should organize working areas specially outside. it seemed like building materials were more spread out through parking lot for their convenience rather customer parking, - there are many doors that you can access hotel first floor to keep the first floor still clean and less construction traffic. thanks [Less]

Overall a nice visit. I requested the Ny times and did not receive it the first two days. I went down to the registration desk and the woman said that I did receive it. And her only explanation was [More] that perhaps someone took it. Well, I called later that day from the room and though she said it showed that I was supposed to receive the paper she said I would begin receiving it. And I did the next three days. One other issue, I had a problem with my credit card and a letter was put under my door requesting to bring another card downstairs. Instead I called my credit card company and resolved the issue. I then called and think I was connected to your business office. He ran my card through and said it was okay. I left the room to get coffee and I was locked out of the room. I had to go to the front desk twice to get back in the room. The first front desk person didn't notice why the key was blocked. He thought he activated the key. But it didn't work so had to go downstairs again. Spoke to another person this time and she noticed why the key was blocked. She told me that security would meet me at my door. But all this would not have happened if the business office noted my credit card was okay and not to have the key deactivated. It requires training your staff to think through the situation and not just resolve the issue at hand. [Less]
