We enjoy a change of scenery every so often, so we like to take a random date night getaway to just get away from home for a day or two. Decent place to stay, very close to the city, the bus is right[More] outside, aaaaand you don't have to pay in triplicate while conducting business or leisure in NY. Also, You can get to port authority in about 30 minutes flat.[Less]
I stay at this hotel while traveling for business in the area. Staff is friendly, and food is good. Hotel is recently renovated, and beds are comfortable. Could not connect to wifi though, but I was[More] too tired to work anyway![Less]
Great Location, Very clean Hotel, staff are helpful and polite.
close to good bars and attractions.[Less]
1st time here and would return.
Nice location, friendly staff and the place was clean. The only thing I would improve is adding a small refrigerator. Other than that it all went well.[Less]
Great location, great service.

The hotel is very convenient if you are visiting Times Square or Rockefeller Center. It is also just a couple of blocks from a major subway stop, where you can get on several different trains.
The[More] hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was nice. My only complaint is the small amount of countertop space in the bathroom, but that is to be expected in New York.[Less]
Wonderful olde worlde hotel
We split our visit between two hotels in NY, this one and the Crowne Plaza Times Square. We didn't know how far out we'd be from the action at this location but we needn't have worried, it within[More] walking distance of all the attractions, and grand central station is on the doorstep.
The hotel has an old grand feel about it, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was good, the bathroom was a little cramped and dated but the bed was wonderfully large and comfortable. I think the hotel was closing shortly after our visit for refurbishment so maybe the bathrooms will be updated. We had a room on the 6th floor (one below the top) and we faced onto a busy street but heard minimal noise.
I do hope then they refurbish they don't take away the old charm of the place because it really is a little haven in a very busy city.[Less]
