Stayed for a short period but enjoyed the suite in that time. Fully equipped kitchen (only missing an oven, but you probably don't need one!) and bathroom consisting of toilet/shower separated from[More] sink (handy). Attentive staff and overall good experience. Location was good (many things within walking distance).[Less]
Open and Clean
I enjoyed my stay and it turned out to be more than I had expected. The suite was comfortable, open, clean. The kitchen was up to date with appliances, and the needs of anyone who would need to use[More] them. Controlling your own room temperature was nice. Beds were comfortable. Dinning area was large compared to many other hotels, with a range of options. Dining room staff were very helpful, friendly, and tended to any needs.[Less]
Evening social - pleasant surprise
A clean, modern room, indoor parking and an opportunity to eat (free) in the evening (Mon and Tues, at least) that I wasn't aware of. Very tasty casseroles and pizza, a salad bar, and attentive,[More] friendly staff. Pleasant surprise.[Less]
Great staff and comfortable bed
Very courteous staff and comfortable room, bed. Great location![Less]
Great Staff Affordable comfort
Front desk staff were superb. The hotel itself is in need of a facelift. Way, I mean way too much sprays and scents used on the carpets and in the elevators - maybe more soap and less[More] fresheners?
Bathroom was tiny but clean. Room was comfortable but one could hear all the traffic outside.[Less]
I was very happy with service from receptionist. My room was cozy and fresh. Nice stay.[Less]

An excellent choice if staying in Guelph
This is the third time we have selected the Holiday Inn Express when traveling to Guelph. Conveniently located to that city as well as Kitchener/Waterloo. We have not been disappointed.[Less]
A Shoulder To Lean On
Guelph Location were there for me a couple of years ago when I ran away from my home in my pj's. I went to a thrift store and bought a small suitcase - two tops - a pair of pants and shoes in[More] Burlington and went to Guelph where my parent's before their passing lived. I went to the Holiday Inn Express. t was still in my pj's and got an eyebrow lift but was given room 106.
My wonderful Aunt Lillian passed away last week in Arthur. I booked Saturday November 14 Saturday to Sunday 15 so that the drive would not be long for Monday the funeral. I got to the hotel in time to pick up the key and get to Arthur. I said please (I have bad luck with hotel rooms) ensure that there is no hair in the mattress - or goobers on the pillow - I will be extremely tired. The room was wonderful - staff helping get in - and unbelievable but the room was 106. One of the reasons for running away was with me and said - of course you have been here before. Yes indeed I had and both times your hotel has been there for me. I visit my Grandchildren in Sutton and stay in your New Market location - and my wonderful Mother passed 2 years ago December 22nd - which makes Christmas a not for me. I have booked 24th and 25th December this year in Detroit - near Galleria Mall. This will be the 2nd time staying there. That location was clean but loud - children running up and down halls -plastic glasses (but one of the staff brought me 2 glass wine glasses - yeh - great staff. I will always find out wherever I travel if your hotel family is there to make me feel safe and sleep clean. Thank you. I don't usually respond to surveys but I had to this time.
I even had pre-check-out which I was not expecting.[Less]
