The best deals on hotels in the Netherlands usually happen in the winter, but temperatures hover between 30 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit, so bring your jacket!

Like art? You cannot miss the Van Gogh Museum, one of the most popular museums in the world. Every year, more than one and a half million people visit it to see the exquisite collection. With more than 6,800 houses and buildings protected as monuments and dating from the 16th to the 20th century, Amsterdam boasts the largest historical inner city in Europe, Shannon McAllister, an Amsterdam travel expert, points out. When it's time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors, Vondelpark, the largest park in the city, is the perfect place to take a walk or a jog. In summer, the park hosts concerts, and you can grab a bite at a lovely terrace restaurant. The park is more than a century old and boasts plane trees, chestnut trees, and birch trees. You can also see a 3-meter statue of the Dutch poet Vondel.

Mediocre Hotel
By Manuj
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on my second trip to Amsterdam. Exterior of this hotel is decent. It is well connected as nearest train/metro station is 8-10 mins by walk. I found this hotel [More] mediocre as it lacks the feel and hospitality of other IHG hotels I have stayed across the world. Room size was fine according to European standards but bedding and toiletries needs to be improved drastically. I had a hard time getting staff to clean my room daily. [Less]
