Featured Madrid Hotels

Madrid, the Spanish capital since the 16th century, is a city that embraces its glorious past even as it celebrates its promising future as one of Europe's crown jewels. The home of Emperor Carlos V, Madrid was the seat of power of one of the largest global empires in history, and remnants of its majesty remain throughout the city.
Perhaps Madrid's most impressive cultural legacy is its art collections of both early masters and contemporary artists. The Prado, one of the most visited sites in Europe, contains the finest collection of Spanish art in the world, as well as one of the most comprehensive collections of European art from the 13th through 19th centuries. The Reina Sofia is world famous for its contemporary art. Smaller yet no less impressive museums, such as the CaixaForum and the Lazaro Galdiano, are also definitely worth exploring.
The juxtaposition of the city's iconic red-tiled roofs and cobblestone streets with gleaming modern skyscrapers is yet another element of the charm of Madrid. The old and the modern coexist beautifully in this thriving and bustling city; you can find Madrid hotels with every level of amenity and comfort for the perfect Spanish vacation.
May, when the city celebrates the San Isidro fiestas. Look for hotels in Madrid near the Salamanca district to be close to the excitement.
Spain is famous for tapas, and a tasca crawl is definitely in order. Tascas, or tapas bars, are everywhere and feature exotic ingredients such as bull testicles and lamb sweetbreads in addition to classic favorites such as shrimp, chorizo, and gazpacho. Wander along Ventura de la Vega or Calle de Cuchilleros for an authentic tasca experience.
The Rastro, Madrid's huge market dating back to the 16th century, is an experience for travelers who love the haggling to and fro of bargain shopping with local merchants. You'll find everything from antiques to used clothing to religious relics and tchotchkes. The Rastro is located on the Calle Ribera di Curtidores; get there early and be prepared for jostling crowds.
Spend a day exploring the glorious gardens and museums in Parque de Retiro, a favorite of Queen Isabella. Sunday mornings are the most interesting, with fortune tellers and magicians delighting visitors, and lazy pleasure boats gliding along the lake. Some of the finest hotels in Spain are found near stately Retiro park.
Not for the faint-hearted, Madrid's nightlife is something that must be experienced to be believed. The clubs are wild, chaotic, exuberant, and exciting. It's also not for early birds; the action rarely starts before midnight and goes all night long.

Excellente staff

Good hotel, great value for money. About a 10/15 minute walk to the nearest metro station (La Granja). Breakfast items a bit limited but good selection of coffees and the juice was nice and cold. The [More] room was light and airy, very modern clean bathroom. The best part of this stay were the staff, Laura, David and a very helpful girl named Andrea? sorry I can't remember her name but it began with 'A'. Please pass on my best regards to her. My son and I were attending the Real Madrid v Valencia match on May 9th. On the morning of the match I got an e-mail from the ticket office in written in Spanish. (lucky I took my ipad and free WI-FI was available) I took it to the reception and showed it to Andrea? the receptionist. She translated it and it seems there was an error and my tickets needed reprinting. I forwarded the e-mail to the hotel and gave her my booking reference number and she very kindly reprinted the tickets for me. She certainly went the extra mile mile and in my opinion deserves special recommendation. Apologies for not remembering her name. Also please pass on my best wishes to Laura for her forthcoming wedding in October. [Less]
Free parking, friendly staff
Good price and quality ratio. Free parking. Hotel is a bit worn but will do the job. They have good IHG members recognition. I got even a sheet of paper during the check-inn which perks I have in [More] their property. [Less]
Good value and friendly and helpful staff
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff were great and helpful. Overall, the stay was comfortable although not luxurious. The bed was comfortable and I slept well for all 3 nights that [More] I spent at the hotel. The carpet in the room was a little tired with a cut just inside the entrance of the bedroom. The TV was ancient (CRT) and with a very poor picture quality. But otherwise, my stay was fine and as I said, the staff were great. [Less]
Nice but No Self Laundry
By Nat'strip
I liked the convenience of the Alcorcon train and metro station to the hotel (5 min. walk). However, the food options are limited to the restaurant next door and the food places in a mall that is 5 [More] minutes from the hotel. The biggest issue with this hotel is the lack of self-laundry. We asked if there was an on-site self laundry and was told there was. We found out there was laundry but it was not self laundry and it was very expensive. One undergarment was 2 euros! We washed our clothes in our room. It made things a bit difficult! [Less]

Best Spanish breakfast Tortilla & Awesome Staff
Every time I return to this hotel, I feel glad. The staff are fantastic, especially Anastasyia who always gives the extra mile. Don't forget to eat breakfast which is one of the best in Madrid - the [More] Spanish Tortilla is hands down the best in Madrid. Easy to access Gran Via and Cortes Ingles shopping centre. Easy access to the Estacion de Autobus de Madrid Sur if you are travelling to other cities by bus. The airport taxi rate is a flat fee of €30.- which is a fab deal. Stay at this hotel, you won't regret it! [Less]
