Featured Madrid Hotels

Madrid, the Spanish capital since the 16th century, is a city that embraces its glorious past even as it celebrates its promising future as one of Europe's crown jewels. The home of Emperor Carlos V, Madrid was the seat of power of one of the largest global empires in history, and remnants of its majesty remain throughout the city.
Perhaps Madrid's most impressive cultural legacy is its art collections of both early masters and contemporary artists. The Prado, one of the most visited sites in Europe, contains the finest collection of Spanish art in the world, as well as one of the most comprehensive collections of European art from the 13th through 19th centuries. The Reina Sofia is world famous for its contemporary art. Smaller yet no less impressive museums, such as the CaixaForum and the Lazaro Galdiano, are also definitely worth exploring.
The juxtaposition of the city's iconic red-tiled roofs and cobblestone streets with gleaming modern skyscrapers is yet another element of the charm of Madrid. The old and the modern coexist beautifully in this thriving and bustling city; you can find Madrid hotels with every level of amenity and comfort for the perfect Spanish vacation.
May, when the city celebrates the San Isidro fiestas. Look for hotels in Madrid near the Salamanca district to be close to the excitement.
Spain is famous for tapas, and a tasca crawl is definitely in order. Tascas, or tapas bars, are everywhere and feature exotic ingredients such as bull testicles and lamb sweetbreads in addition to classic favorites such as shrimp, chorizo, and gazpacho. Wander along Ventura de la Vega or Calle de Cuchilleros for an authentic tasca experience.
The Rastro, Madrid's huge market dating back to the 16th century, is an experience for travelers who love the haggling to and fro of bargain shopping with local merchants. You'll find everything from antiques to used clothing to religious relics and tchotchkes. The Rastro is located on the Calle Ribera di Curtidores; get there early and be prepared for jostling crowds.
Spend a day exploring the glorious gardens and museums in Parque de Retiro, a favorite of Queen Isabella. Sunday mornings are the most interesting, with fortune tellers and magicians delighting visitors, and lazy pleasure boats gliding along the lake. Some of the finest hotels in Spain are found near stately Retiro park.
Not for the faint-hearted, Madrid's nightlife is something that must be experienced to be believed. The clubs are wild, chaotic, exuberant, and exciting. It's also not for early birds; the action rarely starts before midnight and goes all night long.

Ideal in-transit stop over on the outskirts of Madrid East
By Greatmewstone
This hotel is very good generally but does lack an evening meal facility and when arriving late afternoon such a facility would be very welcome to enable one to relax within the hotel and avoid the [More] need to dine out [Less]
Great customer service at a great hotel
By Chabbie
We stay at this hotel every year that we go to Madrid just because of the excellent staff. Hotel is always spotless and breakfast is great. The hotel is located a bit south of Madrid center but there [More] is bus and metro service that takes you into Madrid. [Less]
Hotel Indigo
By joactah
I searched long and hard for the right hotel and I am happy with my selection of Hotel Indigo. The design of the hotel was very hip and chic. The room was extremely clean and had great views of the [More] city. My only complaints are that I was told that breakfast was included in my stay but it was not so I was charged for it. Additionally, the hotel was supposed to set up a taxi service for me, because my flight was landing so late and I was visiting Spain for the first time, but there was no one waiting for me. My luggage was extremely heavy. Luckily, there were a slew of taxis outside of the airport. [Less]
Great Front Desk Staff
The hotel is a great option if you have few days to visit Madrid. Very central and cosy. The design is nice and the rooftop is amazing with a small pool and a bar lounge very trendy. The best thing [More] the hotel has is the front desk staff and the Lounge waiter. They went the extra mile to make the stay perfect. [Less]
Great find in the heart of things in Madrid
By California Gal
Walking into the hotel, the decor is refreshing and upbeat, and we were greeted by friendly staff members. It's just a block from the Callao Metro station and a half block off the Gran Via. The room [More] was clean and quiet; the bed was comfortable; Wifi and lobby computers worked well. The bathroom was clean and well-lighted, and the rain shower was a surprise. We had dinner one rainy night in the restaurant, and the food was good and reasonably priced. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat when in Madrid. [Less]
Holiday Inn Express Leganes, Madrid
By StephanM
This is a great hotel for the price in a quiet area. It is close to Warner Park, though I was unable to visit there during my short stay. The room was comfortable and all staff were very friendly. [More] I'd definitely recommend this hotel. [Less]

Very good Customer Service
By ljp66
Customer Service orientated. All in the staff are kind and helpful people. My especial acknowledgment to Marina, Olga, Paloma and Guillermo at the Front Desk, and to Raquel at the restaurant. All of [More] them improved my overall experience. On the other hand, they have a new internet network, and it's much faster than the previous one, however the connection is not stable enough yet. I think it's a matter of both time and tuning to have it running perfectly, because the person in charge of it, Adolfo, and the general manager are doing their best to solve it. customer's voice is heard at this hotel.
