Featured Birmingham Hotels

When you book into one of our Birmingham hotels, you’ll find yourself conveniently located in the heart of the thriving city center while still staying connected to major roadways, train stations, and airports.
Located in the West Midlands of England on a raised stretch of ground known as the Birmingham Plateau, Birmingham is Britain’s second largest population and economic center.
Birmingham was a late bloomer and remained rather isolated in comparison to other English towns for much of history. This all changed during the Industrial Age, however, when the combination of pioneering manufacturing practices and the brilliant thinkers of the Midlands Enlightenment re-forged the city. With groundbreaking technological and scientific developments happening on their home turf, Brummies created an economy of small workshops producing specialized products. This, in turn, led to social mobility for tradesmen, and eventually Birmingham’s citizens demanded more clout in English politics, helping to lay the groundwork for a democracy.
Take an architectural peek into Birmingham’s building history when you check out the medieval St. Martin in the Bull Ring church. Both St. Paul’s Square and St. Philip’s Cathedral are grand examples of Georgian era architecture, while buildings constructed in the Victorian age will give you a glimpse into that era’s elegance and wealth. The Victoria Law Courts were constructed in a distinctive red brick and terracotta pattern, while the Council House dominates the skyline.
Birmingham is awash in cultural offerings, from the sleek nightlife and dining on Broad Street and Brindleyplace to the Museum & Art Gallery, which contains an
internationally recognized collection of pre-Raphaelite art. Chocolate lovers won’t want to miss the samples at Cadbury World, which details the production and history of the beloved candy brand. Not to be outdone by London, Birmingham also hosts a trifecta of eminent performing arts companies: the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Birmingham Royal Ballet, and Birmingham Opera Company. Your night out will definitely be one to remember.
The range of shopping in Birmingham is dizzying, and yet very manageable on foot. Elegant New Street carries many big name brands, and rewards any adventurous deal seekers that wander off into its branching alleyways. Connected to the one-of-a-kind Selfridges, the Bullring shopping center brings an atmosphere of luxurious shopping and dining right to you. Find—or even commission—a gift for that special someone in the Jewellery Quarter, where over 100 craftspeople sell their wares. Birmingham is also renowned for the variety of its markets. Centered at Bullring, the Open, Indoor, and Rag markets let dedicated bargain hunters haggle for everything under the sun.
Did you know that Birmingham is the birthplace of the English Football League (soccer to Americans)? How about lawn tennis? Birmingham is the perfect place for sporty types. Whether you’re catching a Second City derby between Birmingham’s two football clubs or one of the Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s rousing matches, your day on the pitch will be packed.
Called Spaghetti Junction, Birmingham’s highway intersection has connections to most major destinations. With the Centro urban rail system, international airport, Birmingham New Street Train Station, and even canals at your disposal, your next stop is easy to make.
Whatever your reason for a visit to the innovative Midlands, our Birmingham hotels will pamper you with stylish interiors and professional service. Our full suite of business amenities, great values, and pampering extras help you greet each day of your stay with enthusiasm and ease.

Great Value, Great Service
By Hacienda87
We found the Hotel easily and were pleased to find that the location was next to many of Tamworth's amenities. The staff were great, rooms modern and comfortable and the bonus of a nice ample [More] breakfast made for a lovely all round experience. We certainly left thinking we would look for another Holiday Inn Express on our future travels. [Less]
Excellent Stay
By GCor13
Had a great stay. Clean Hotel, excellent service. I do wish they had other foods on menu for the breakfast bar as I am a person who does not eat pork. Overall would stay next year when we are in town [More] again. [Less]
A welcome repeat visit
By Tamnamore
I have now stayed in this hotel lots of times and every time I return; I enjoy the fresh and airy feel of this hotel. I have often thought that although this is an 'Express' brand of Holiday Inn, [More] this hotel feels more "main" brand than express. The staff is always friendly and helpful. [Less]
Delivered on their promise
By Squiddly
I stayed here for 3 nights and I have to say that my request for a quiet suite was honored. My room was on an upper floor and it was very quiet. I happened to be sick during my stay and because my [More] room was so quiet I was able to get a lot of rest. Only two small quibbles - the front desk or pantry should sell or provide single-serve packets of detergent for the laundry room. Someone travelling through and doing one or two loads does not need a large box of powder - and shouldn't have to hunt around at nearby Poundland. The other is - we had a fire alarm my last night there, nobody from the front desk ever came out front to tell us it was a false alarm. That's it, other than that it was great. When you are walking up the hill from the train station the door is not prominent, just look on your right in between two Poundlands! [Less]
Nice week in Birmingham
By Kulshenr
Hi. I spent a week in this hotel. The room was really comfortable, really clean, with a good standard. Staff was really helpful. Gym was good. Location in city center is good for going out on the [More] evening. I recommend it for a staying in Birmingham [Less]
Great Service

The hotel provides many services and has a friendly staff. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. [Less]
Convenience
By Selig
No facility for second guest in room to sit and read in comfort. A second arm chair would have been welcome, though that would have made the room cramped. I am a Radio 3 listener and missed it [Less]
Lovely stay overlooking main street Kenilworth
By VivIP
It's my second stay at Holiday Inn Kenilworth. It has a great location near the town and its amenities, secure parking and internet. The rooms are very comfortable - they're not large but the [More] furniture shape and layout make it feel comfortable. The bathroom has a proper bath with the shower. Our last stay we had the dinner bed and breakfast offer, but this time I was alone and opted not to eat too much so didn't go for the full English but had croissant and coffee at the on-site Starbucks - really spacious one with lovely outdoor seating, very relaxed and lovely staff there too. I had to attend a course nearby and I could leave the car there after checking out in the morning. I went back for another coffee at Starbuck's before driving off in the afternoon :) [Less]
A good hotel, excellent staff
By Anon999
We have stayed here before and will come back in future. On this stay the room service food was not up to its usual standard. [Less]
