Featured Glasgow Hotels

Get to know the city like a true Scotsman when you stay at one of our Glasgow hotels near the city center, theatre district, or airport.
Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city, and one of the largest in the U.K. Its bustling metropolitan center is located on the River Clyde and is an important seaport.
From an early Christian site of the 6th century to a wealthy and influential bishopric, Glaswegians saw their city grow in prestige and power through its international trade of commodities like linen. Sparked by the Scottish Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution, Glasgow’s fortunes exploded on the world scene, with active trade in almost every sector and a vibrant shipbuilding economy. Today, the city combines up-to-the-moment culture with stately architecture and a true sense of fun.
The modern shape of the Clyde Arc Bridge is unmistakable in Glasgow’s skyline, while the City Chambers building dominates its own section of the city with Victorian stateliness. Medieval Glasgow Cathedral and Merchant City provide excellent destinations for sightseeing and entertainment. The Merchant City rewards pedestrians with countless pubs and restaurants, and its central location near the riverside and Glasgow Green means that you can continue to enjoy Glasgow’s unique sites after your break.
It’s easy to get to know Glasgow’s range of museums and cultural opportunities - nearly all of them are free! The Riverside Museum makes the most of its picturesque location on the river to showcase a collection relating to transportation, while the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum exhibits everything from artistic
masters to suits of armor. Taste the local whiskey at Glengoyne before donning your party clothes for an evening out at the Scottish Ballet or National Theatre.
Glasgow makes a serious rival for London in terms of the breadth and uniqueness of its retail. Packed with independent record stores and the Style Mile area directly in the town center, every quirky and up-to-the-minute trend is available for those in the know. Buchanan Street has all the large brands you could wish for, while remaining pedestrian-friendly, and the unique Argyll Arcade attracts with its window displays of precious jewelry and diamonds. Truly all shoppers can find something to cherish in Glasgow.
Glasgow is a wonderful destination for golfers, as its famed Loch Lomond and Gleneagles courses can attest. The city is also home to powerhouse soccer teams, as well as a devoted rugby tradition. Catching a match guarantees that you’ll feel like a local for the day.
With frequent trains to London and other U.K. destinations, as well as its international airport and efficient urban transportation system, Glasgow is an easy city to navigate.
Get to know the depth of Scotland’s past when you stay in one of our Glasgow hotels. We put our guests first, and after experiencing our hospitality, comfort, and value, you’ll be prepared to book your return visit to Glasgow in no time.

A super stay
By Holiday Tom
Close to the centre of Glasgow, and not too far from our theatre visit, this was our first time at Holiday Inn, City Centre, and a great experience it was. Reception staff were so welcoming and [More] helpful and friendly, our Executive room as well-appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - even down to the complimentary water and Tunnocks Teacakes! Modern, bright and obviously well-thought-out furnishings made the room appear very homely. Could have done with a king bed, but the double was comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep. Breakfast in La Bonne Auberge had a great choice of hot or cold foods, served by friendly and helpful staff once again, and was delicious, a lovely start to our day and the end of our short stay. We have no hesitation in our recommendation, and would most certainly visit again given the opportunity. Well done to everyone. [Less]
Reasonable City-centre Hotel
By mk13al
The hotel is in an old building and obviously had to be designed within the outer shell but the room had a modern look to it. Our room was small by today's standards with a smallish window tucked in [More] a corner and initially seemed quite dark, not helped by décor in shades of grey. In saying that, the standard of furnishing and décor is first class - I guess the room has been recently renovated. There was decent storage space and a large comfy bed with lovely pillows. The bathroom again was a bit small with a half-sized bath but a decent shower. Breakfast in the restaurant was perfectly adequate with a good selection of cold and hot food including excellent Scottish delicacies such as Lorne sausage, black pudding haggis and good morning rolls. The evening bar food is also good and the bar is comfortable. Overall, everywhere was very clean and the staff are friendly. Outside, the location is good with bus station about 200 yards, Queen Street Station about 5 minutes and Central Station about 20 minutes walk. The main shopping area is just around the corner as is the theatre and there is a cinema across the road. Plenty of decent restaurants all over the area. Overall, a decent hotel well up to Holiday Inn standards. [Less]

I always stay here, if I can, when I visit a local customer. They have certainly tidied up the rooms since my last visit. I didn't fancy eating in the restaurant, so ate in the bar area, choice is [More] quite limited but the quality is good. all in all what you would expect from a good Holiday Inn. [Less]
Friendliness of Reception
By shakun
It was one of the best experience I had at reception when I arrived at Holiday Inn. I was greeted by a pleasnt nice Gentleman who took all cares of me and made me feel very welcoming and important [More] customer. Room was good size with nice mattress and pillow. We had good night sleep on our two days stay there. I feel that this Holiday Inn experience was the best Holiday Inn experience I had so far. [Less]
