Featured Leeds Hotels

Enjoy the pedestrian ease of the graceful city center, as well as quick access to transportation options and the Royal Armouries convention center, when you select one of our Leeds hotels.
The dominant city of West Yorkshire in the north of England, Leeds began as an agricultural and market town in the forested valley surrounding the River Aire. Over time, its production of wool and flax increased, and as the commerce of the Industrial Revolution took off, Leeds grew in tandem, absorbing smaller villages to become the sophisticated metropolitan city it is today.
Monuments to Leeds’ 19th century wealth stand proudly in the Morley Town Hall and rounded Corn Exchange building. Centuries older, the exquisite ruins of Kirkstall Abbey have inspired many artists to take out their sketchbooks, and will likely inspire you to do the same. Leeds city centre is dominated by historic church spires, such as Leeds Minster and St. George’s Church.
Learn more about the colorful history of Leeds at the Leeds City Museum or check out the airy steel and glass Royal Armouries Museum. Indulge in Yorkshire culture with an evening out at a show put on by Opera North or the Northern Ballet Theatre. Leeds’ large student population also makes for a bumping nightlife scene near Millennium Square and the large Leeds Music Festival.
Leeds is a shoppers’ dream with its multiple attractive retail areas. The Merrion Centre and Trinity Leeds provide large indoor complexes replete with dining and entertainment options, while a good old-fashioned amble on Briggate Street
brings many big brands directly to you. The arcades of the Victoria Quarter showcase luxury shops in a lavish setting. At the unique Bird’s Yard, peruse homemade crafts and vintage apparel, or take a load off in the inviting and homey tea room.
Make the connection to your next destination easily with Leeds’ direct train lines to major U.K. cities, the Leeds Bradford International airport, and the Manchester Airport.
With high-quality service and amenities at reasonable prices, you’ll combine comfort and convenience when you stay at one of our Leeds hotels. Get to know distinctive Yorkshire in style and comfort, without breaking the bank.

Peaceful Hotel in the Country
I have stayed here many times and the location cannot be faulted if you don't need easy access to either Leeds or Bradford other than by driving yourself. As a place to relax while doing business in [More] either city I doubt it can be beaten. Two things let the hotel down.. the in room Internet (whether an IHG member or not) is of the old fashioned variety where you pay through the nose for decent speed. This is a Holiday Inn policy that I have recently seen some signs of them abandoning but in Leeds/Bradford it is firmly in place and the free service is abysmally slow. Secondly, the catering operation is understaffed and probably relies too much on tick boxes and bought in ready meals. The local pub is excellent for evening meals and lunches but you can't escape Breakfast!! [Less]
Nice and friendly hotel
By Gooders66
I've now stayed here a few times and it's always proved to be a pleasant stay. The staff are really friendly and approachable which makes it a better experience. As with a lot of HI hotels, the food [More] quality isn't anything special if I'm honest but there's not much choice in the immediate area. The standard double rooms are fine and have everything you need for a short stay. [Less]
Excellent Food
By Andy0S
I keep going back here as the food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. The hotel itself is in an old building and some areas are in need of a bit of freshening up. It is still a [More] place I would highly recommend. [Less]

Good room, poor lighting
By S2art2
As with so many rooms now the room itself cannot be faulted, but the lighting is very poor. We are readers and over 60 so our eyesight requires good lighting to read by. [Less]
Coffee at breakfast
By OnTheRoadYetAgain
The stay was good but the black liquid pretending to be coffee was undrinkable. A small thing but ended up being the point that stuck in my memory. Other HI Expresses have proper coffee machines at [More] breakfast (e.g. Wimbledon South) So why not all HI Expresses [Less]
Excellent value
By StrictlyS
Stayed one night to visit Strictly at the Arena. Was worried about potential noise so requested a quiet room; pleased that we got just that - 6th floor, overlooking the car park (not the busy road). [More] Nice to have the request listened to. Check in/out was efficient. Room was fine, bathroom clean (no clingy shower curtain but fully tiled = always a good thing!) plus complimentary shower gel and soap (and you could get toothbrushes etc for free too if you'd forgotten them). Bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep - no noise from other rooms. Breakfast was fine - although the fruit juice didn't seem fresh, and coffee snobs won't appreciate the 'canteen style' machine - but it was filling and most importantly (unlike most hotels in the city centre) didn't cost us any extra. Food was also refilled quickly and tables cleared promptly. Great to be able to park onsite too, and a steal at only £4 for 24 hours. It took us 20 mins to walk to the arena, and 15 mins the next day to walk to the city centre. Overall a great stay at a great price! [Less]
Great Location for Meeting
By Howie603
Very happy with the Holiday Inn Express at Leeds, staff were brilliant, more hotels should look to this hotel for staff training! Clean, functional rooms with very comfortable beds, nice choice for [More] the complimentary breakfast. [Less]
