Experience the urban buzz of Liverpool with our wide range of Liverpool
hotels, which bring the airport, train stations, lively waterfront, and
city center all within your grasp. Located in northwestern England and bounded by the Irish Sea and the River
Mersey, Liverpool has been an important British city since the Middle Ages.
It came to special prominence during the 19th century when its status as a
major trading port led to an explosion in wealth, expansion, and
technological innovation. Once a rival to London itself in reach and
influence, Liverpudlians still like to highlight its beautiful
architecture, creative music tradition, and sporting spirit. Visitors to Liverpool can expect to experience an energizing range of
architectural landmarks, with thousands of historic buildings spanning
centuries of habitation. In addition to grandly impressive civic buildings
such as the Liverpool Town Hall, the waterfront at Albert Dock brings the
beating heart of Liverpool’s maritime past to life. Also on the Mersey
waterfront is Pier Head, where a trio of spectacular buildings known as
The Three Graces were constructed to house some of the largest names in
shipping and industry at the turn of the last century. Dubbed a World Capital City of Pop due to its most famous musical exports,
Liverpool honors that tradition today with a thriving nightlife scene, the
annual Liverpool International Music Festival, and, of course, The Beatles
Story museum at Albert Dock. Liverpool is no slouch when it comes to
rarefied culture, either, with branches of the National Museum and the Tate Modern Art Museum. Indulge in a little retail therapy with a visit to the splashy Liverpool
ONE center downtown, which features a plethora of shops and entertainment.
The swanky Metquarter and Cavern Walks offer luxury brands in a luxurious
setting, while funky Lark Lane is known for its vintage finds and teeming
street markets. For fresh produce, head across the river to Wirral and
browse a fine selection of farmers’ markets. Soccer fans will love Liverpool, which holds not one, but two, of the most
successful English teams of all time. Get your cheering section together
and catch the Liverpool Football Club at Anfield or the Everton Football
Club at Goodison Park. When the two teams go head to head, it’s known as
the Merseyside Derby, and emotions run high on both sides. Liverpool’s Lime Street Station features rail connections to major cities
across the U.K., and its port provides ferry services across the Irish Sea.
The Liverpool John Lennon Airport jets passengers to destinations
throughout Europe. While inside the city limits, find your way around on
the busy Merseyrail service. Hit the right note during your stay in Liverpool by selecting one of our
Liverpool hotels. Our comfortable rooms, fantastic values, and convenient
locations mean that you’ll be perfectly poised to experience the best of
the city and all it has to offer.

We were looking for a hotel in Liverpool but these were either fully booked or far too expensive. Haydock is only 25 minutes from central Liverpool which surprised us. The hotels location enabled us[More] to both visit liverpool and have an afternoons walk in the Lake districe ( one hour away). We would choose this hotel again not only for the location but for the great time we had there.[Less]

The room was better than expected for a Holiday Inn Express room, some of which are very small. However the level of light was disappointing. It was difficult to do paperwork or read. This is not[More] criticism of this hotel, many are like this.
For this reason I carry a desk light in my case so I can do my paperwork.
Apart from this, the hotel was very good.[Less]
Some of the furniture in the room was run down and poor selection of breakfast food.[Less]
