Featured Manchester Hotels

As one of England’s most vibrant and visited cities, our Manchester hotels put all the sights of the city center at your fingertips, as well as providing convenient access to the airport, convention centers, stadiums, and more.
Bustling Manchester lies in the northwest of England, and comprises the third largest metropolitan area in the country. In the distance rise the Pennine Hills, widely considered to be one of the most scenic natural areas of the U.K.
Known for its dominance during Britain’s Industrial Revolution, the accelerated growth of Manchester’s textile manufacturing transformed the ancient medieval town into one of the world’s commercial powerhouses of the 19th century. Today, Mancunians remain fiercely proud of Manchester’s economic successes and thriving cultural scene.
Many of Manchester’s most impressive landmarks pay tribute to its cotton-milling past and the Victorian wealth this generated. One such building is the impressive Manchester Town Hall in central Albert Square. The square itself features monuments to Prince Albert and local notables, so give yourself plenty of time to explore here, too. Mixed in with the architecture of other centuries, Manchester’s many exciting skyscrapers dot the skyline, including Beetham Tower and One Angel Square.
Have a music fan in your travel party? Manchester is the birthplace of bands such as Oasis and the Smiths. Pay homage and catch a show at the always-rollicking Manchester Arena, host to some of the most lavish entertainment spectacles in the world. High-end performing arts find their curtain calls at the Manchester Opera House, while testaments to the city’s
technological history are held at the Museum of Science and Industry.
Retail mavens will find a home away from home in Manchester’s mix of large shopping centers, local markets, and independent boutiques. Altrincham Charter Market has been luring shoppers to its varied stalls since 1290, while the quirky Northern Quarter offers goods on the more modern end of the spectrum. For big name brands, look no further than The Arndale Center, one of Europe’s largest and most popular shopping destinations.
Mancunians take their soccer (or football, as they call it) very, very seriously, and with two world-class teams bringing fans to the stadiums in droves, you’ll love feeling like a local for the day. The Manchester City team holds court at the City of Manchester Stadium, while Manchester United hosts games at Old Trafford.
A major hub for commerce and tourism alike, Manchester has extensive transportation options. Manchester Airport flies to destinations across the U.K. and abroad, and the city is crisscrossed with a convenient Metrolink light rail system. The two major train stations, Piccadilly and Victoria, provide a gateway to all major stops. In fact, the railway between Manchester and Liverpool was the first passenger railway in the world.
Visit booming Manchester and rest easy knowing that our selection of Manchester hotels will have you settled in comfort, class, and convenience. From our sterling service to our budget-friendly prices, we take the guesswork out of your accommodation choices. Book with us today and start dreaming of your time away in Manchester.

good hotel for a good price, near to road network
By BrianCov
Great hotel for the price I paid, near to the motorway network for good links to local areas. Building and staff are really impressive. A hotel is a hotel as long as it's clean - the friendly staff [More] make this hotel just that little bit better [Less]
Another visit to Burnley
Another successful visit to see family in Burnley, made all the better by the stay at the Holiday Inn Express! [Less]
Great staff and good service

Great staff, friendly atmosphere, nothing too much trouble, the staff go out of their way to help [Less]
Business travel and this hotel
By Werner247
The hotel stay, service and room comfort/cleanliness is awesome. However, I was here on business. The internet is the worst you can possibly have. As a business traveler, you depend on IHG to provide [More] not only free internet to their customers but reliable. The internet conditions at this hotel is very poor and unacceptable. I then spoke to a staff member and they mentioned that I can upgrade internet for a fee. As a regular IHG customer?? wow. Ok, so I upgraded; no major difference. I could not get much work done. For business; I would not recommend this hotel. [Less]

Came to see ELO at the Arena - a special occasion. The Hotel was ideal, bar very nice, breakfast good and rooms comfortable. Valet parking is a bit of a bargain and extremely efficient. [Less]

Team away day hotel stay
By melons55
This hotel which has just above basic facilities is probably the best value for a one night stay. When the hotel is busy their bar/lounge fills very quickly so if you want to sit and drink best to [More] get there early. The TV volume in the bars lounge is set on mute which I guess is for the benefit of every one however I was trying to watch a football match and would have liked a bit of sound If your like me and enjoy a full English breakfast you better stay somewhere else, their menu does not include bacon or fried eggs. To summarise ok for a one night stay and if you want sausage beans and scrabbled egg you'll be fine there. [Less]
Comfortable bed and great service
By iwr27
Staff very friendly and helpful. Relaxed atmosphere. [Less]
stay before holiday
By super well
The hotel was very clean and tidy, beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of choice at breakfast. We did pay to be picked up at airport but it was only £3 each both ways. The price of the stay [More] was very reasonable and relaxing before we set of on our holiday. Thank you to all at Manchester Holiday Inn [Less]
