Things to See

Anaheim is most famous for housing the original Disneyland, which opened in 1955, as well as California Adventure—a Disneyland addition that opened about 15 years ago. However, there are many other interesting activities in Anaheim to pique your interest outside of those created by Disney and other big names. Catch some Anaheim Ducks hockey (their training facility is open for public skating sessions daily!) or a LA Angels baseball game to get your sports fix, or visit Anaheim Garden Walk for shopping, movies, bowling, and dining. Anaheim’s historic district has been recently renovated to now include the Packing House, unique restaurants, shops, and a farmer’s market. To get out of the city a bit, check out the neighboring cities of Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and San Diego by train or car, or Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, boasting roller coasters and a waterpark.

Hotels in Anaheim

Whether you’re staying in directly in Anaheim or neighboring cities like Fullerton, Garden Grove, or Buena Park, IHG has cozy hotels to keep you close to your main destinations. Our hotels offer convenient amenities for your vacation, from free Wi-Fi to fully-equipped kitchens.

Where to Stay

Staying in the Anaheim Resort District keeps you close to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure as well as the Anaheim Convention Center. This area also keeps you in short driving distance from Newport, Huntington, and Laguna Beaches as well as Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, San Diego Zoo, and Six Flags Magic Mountain. For business trips, you may consider staying in the aforementioned cities surrounding Anaheim to avoid resort crowds.

How to Get to Anaheim

If flying to Anaheim, you’ll arrive at either John Wayne Airport at Santa Ana (SNA), Long Beach Airport (LGB), or the larger Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). If you don’t opt for taking a shuttle or train to your destination from the airport, travelling by car from the airport to your hotel can take between 20 minutes and an hour. Once you’re in the city, Anaheim Resort Transportation can bring you to many popular tourist destinations via shuttle, while Orange County Transit Authority offers bus service within the city and surrounding areas. Anaheim is known as a very safe place regularly patrolled by police.

Weekend stay during Military Drill Weekend
By taan42000
One of the best places you can stay at if you work at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Bell or near area. They offer government rate and will waive your taxes, if you provide the tax exemption form [More] to them. The hotel offered me a really nice room because I was military personnel. I appreciated it and will return in the future. [Less]
Comfortable room and good location
By GZSF
The hotel looks very upscale and luxurious. Our room was facing to Highway 5 but it was not that noisy. The location is very convenient in the east side of LA such as Monterey Park, Rosemead and San [More] Gabriel. With about 20 minutes driving, you can find so many authentic Chinese foods. Since it is a casino hotel, there are lots of self-parking spaces (but need a bit walk). If you don’t like walk, $5 valet parking per night is very inexpensive. One more plus: they provide a sleep aromatherapy kit that was an unexpected surprise for me. – It really helped my sleep. [Less]
Fabulous stay

Home away from home

Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Harbor Hotel is centrally located, comfortable, safe and affordably priced. It is my choice "home away from home" when I travel to southern California. [Less]
Best sleep I've had at a hotel
By mc234
The beds were very comfortable. The curtains had a clip allowing you to close the curtains as well as clip them together so you can be in complete darkness. The pillows were a little too fluffy for [More] my comfort but my husband loved them. The bathroom was extremely well lit. It felt like i was at a spa. The attention to detail in mirror lighting as well as tile in the shower made this bathroom seem very upscale. Large room with plenty of space. [Less]
Could have been better
By SteveFuture
The fitness center was way below the standards of Crowne Plaza and parking was an issue. Other than that, the rooms were decent and the staff was outstanding. Very friendly and attentive and [More] responsive to issues. [Less]
A Great Stay
By jerry1619
This property offers excellent value for the price. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Internet access was easy and given it allows [More] access throughout the speed met our needs. The hotel is close to LAX and the shuttle runs every 15 minutes or so. We will stay here again!!! [Less]
airport stay

I guess that it is only Holiday Inn Express that you get the complimentary breakfast and I whish they would go back to having smoking rooms [Less]
Hotel shuttle to the airport is sloppy
By My nickname been taken
If you have your own car, this hotel is perfect. But if you rely on the hotel shuttle, it is very unreliable. We waited for an hour and half to be picked up by the hotel shuttle at the airport. [Less]
