Things to See

Anaheim is most famous for housing the original Disneyland, which opened in 1955, as well as California Adventure—a Disneyland addition that opened about 15 years ago. However, there are many other interesting activities in Anaheim to pique your interest outside of those created by Disney and other big names. Catch some Anaheim Ducks hockey (their training facility is open for public skating sessions daily!) or a LA Angels baseball game to get your sports fix, or visit Anaheim Garden Walk for shopping, movies, bowling, and dining. Anaheim’s historic district has been recently renovated to now include the Packing House, unique restaurants, shops, and a farmer’s market. To get out of the city a bit, check out the neighboring cities of Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and San Diego by train or car, or Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, boasting roller coasters and a waterpark.

Hotels in Anaheim

Whether you’re staying in directly in Anaheim or neighboring cities like Fullerton, Garden Grove, or Buena Park, IHG has cozy hotels to keep you close to your main destinations. Our hotels offer convenient amenities for your vacation, from free Wi-Fi to fully-equipped kitchens.

Where to Stay

Staying in the Anaheim Resort District keeps you close to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure as well as the Anaheim Convention Center. This area also keeps you in short driving distance from Newport, Huntington, and Laguna Beaches as well as Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, San Diego Zoo, and Six Flags Magic Mountain. For business trips, you may consider staying in the aforementioned cities surrounding Anaheim to avoid resort crowds.

How to Get to Anaheim

If flying to Anaheim, you’ll arrive at either John Wayne Airport at Santa Ana (SNA), Long Beach Airport (LGB), or the larger Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). If you don’t opt for taking a shuttle or train to your destination from the airport, travelling by car from the airport to your hotel can take between 20 minutes and an hour. Once you’re in the city, Anaheim Resort Transportation can bring you to many popular tourist destinations via shuttle, while Orange County Transit Authority offers bus service within the city and surrounding areas. Anaheim is known as a very safe place regularly patrolled by police.

Great Service
By QT1QT1
It started when Sarah at the front desk helped me find the perfect room two days before move it. I called and confirmed room opened, came in a paid for room right away. Paid for two days before [More] moving in, but this help allowed me to have one of the best rooms for my 130 day stay. Friendy and efficient breakfast sevice by George and Yolonda made going to breakfast fun every day. Front desk was always helpful. Only concern with stay is staffing level. When hotel is full of business travelers staff size is adequate. When hotel fills with families staff can barely keep up with the extra work. Business travelers need little, but famlies really overload all parts of the staff. [Less]
Great for family travel with kids
By the6crew
Overall this was a decent hotel. We usually stay in five star hotels but for the rating it was very clean and the staff were the best part of the stay. The location is perfect for the surrounding [More] area. Pretty close to redondo, hermosa, and manhattan beach. The mall in torrance is within walking distance and is awesome. There is free breakfast and a very limited work out facility. We had some hiccups in the begin but the staff immediately corrected them and moved us to a different larger more comfortable room for my family of 6. We will definitely keep this location on our list! Great team! [Less]
Great place, great value
By DavidMovedAway
This hotel was conveniently located for us and provided a great value for our family with free breakfast every day and free dinner during weekdays. (And breakfast even had some variety day-to-day!) [More] Our room was facing Prairie Ave.; we could hear the road, but with the door and windows closed the noise was very muted and never bothered us. Swimming pool and picnic area were great – we were able to entertain some family there comfortably. Issues: Air conditioning uneven in the unit (1 bedroom warm, the other cold) Mattresses were mediocre: felt comfortable the first night but by the 6th not so much. No oven in kitchen (though this mattered less once we discovered the free dinner.) [Less]
Great location/ reliable

No complaints. Everything you would expect in a Holiday Inn for the price you would pay. Quite near to downtown long beach (just a few blocks from the main/popular areas). Would recommend this if you [More] are visiting the LBC [Less]
Always comfortable, clean, and a cool place to stay
By NorCalSurfer
Very cool staff, nice and clean, comfortable bed, nicer furnishings, all in all a very nice Hotel that I like to stay at. Pretty close to the beach (short 5 minute drive or less). Not much places [More] to walk to nearby, but make sure to check the French Cafe/Bakery at the shopping center across the street for real French pastries and food etc, really awesome. [Less]

A short .5 mile walk to Disneyland. We felt very safe walking back and forth at all hours of the day and night. The beds were super comfy and the room was very clean. Staff was very nice and [More] accommodating. We would stay again. [Less]
