Featured Los Angeles Hotels

With its year-round moderate temperature, nearby beaches, star-studded nightlife, sizzling culinary scene and wealth of world-famous tourist attractions, Los Angeles is one of the world’s greatest and most famous destinations. This sprawling city covers 467 square miles and is home to approximately 140 nationalities of people speaking 224 different languages, making it one of the most diverse cities in the world. It is also the birthplace of the world's movie industry and home to many of the big screen’s biggest celebrities and talents No matter your reason for visiting, IHG has excellent Los Angeles hotels not far from the city’s best local attractions.

Things to See

One of L.A.’s most popular activities is a guided bus tour, which takes groups through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, giving glimpses of the city's major attractions and your favorite stars' homes. A tour of Universal Studios in Hollywood is a must for movie buffs. Combining a functioning movie studio and amusement park, it has fun rides for the entire family, including Jurassic Park, Transformers 3-D and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem rides. For the grown-ups, The Getty Center has thousands of paintings by iconic artists like Van Gogh and Monet, as well as beautiful sculptures and antiquities.

Hotels in Los Angeles

If you plan to spend a lot of time shopping, dining and relaxing on the beach, consider Santa Monica, located on L.A.’s western edge with easy access to Santa Monica and Venice beaches, and the popular Third Street Promenade restaurants and shops. Beverly Hills and West Hollywood also have plenty of luxury hotels if you wish to experience the glitz and glamor of the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Where to Stay

The world-famous Strip, still the most popular place to enjoy the never-ending excitement of Los Angeles, has hotels that cater to all. While some enjoy being in the middle of the action, those who prefer a low-key experience can find even more hotels just a few blocks from the Strip many of which offer a more affordable price and level of luxury. Consider downtown L.A. if you want to stay within the city limits without spending a fortune. Along with bustling nightlife and shopping, downtown is home to Staples Center, where you can catch a Lakers game or concert, ,and a multi-cultural culinary offerings perfect for serious foodies, such as sushi in Little Tokyo and Mexican taquerias on Olvera Street. L.A.’s public transportation system is limited, and traffic can be quite agitating for first-time visitors. By finding a hotel in an L.A. area or neighborhood convenient to your trip highlights, you'll dramatically cut down on any potential loss of time caused by gridlock.

Nice and Clean, close to park
By TMC34
In general the room was great. It was a bit small for a family suite. We specified six people in our room but only received four towels. The breakfast was great, the layout could be improved to [More] move people through the line a bit faster but overall I would recommend this Hotel. [Less]

A short .5 mile walk to Disneyland. We felt very safe walking back and forth at all hours of the day and night. The beds were super comfy and the room was very clean. Staff was very nice and [More] accommodating. We would stay again. [Less]
Clean, comfortable , good service

i was only at the hotel for 1 evening. I wanted to write, because the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you are a IHG member with some status they really go out of their way to [More] please. [Less]
Lack of FREE Contenental Breakfast
By thehealthybody
I was surprised that this hotel "Holiday Express Long Beach Airport" did NOT have a continental breakfast. The reason I choose this Holiday Express because everyone was telling me how great the [More] continental breakfast. One more thing the washer & drying was down. (Not working) If you're planning on staying, bring money for the restaurant on the 7th floor. Everything else was great especially Gina at the desk area. [Less]
Comfortable bed

During the July 4th weekend this was the only inexpensive hotel left that was closest to LAX. I wished that the breakfast was included and/or kids eat free. For 2aduilts/2children hotel [More] stay/parking/breakfast we could've stay near LAX (our destination) the same price. Other than that, all was good. [Less]
great breakfast and customer service
By trgonzales
I purchased two rooms for a six night stay. When we arrived, there was a great scent in the entry way. They offered us water and a friendly welcome. The location was great for the conference I was [More] attending and the three days of leisure time that I had planned to attend throughout California. Distance was great for all locations that I would be visiting during the six days. [Less]
GREAT staff, extremely attentive and kind
By PasadenaVisitor
I brought my family with me. We were upgraded to a larger room for free because the room I requested was unavailable. That worked out perfectly. My kids absolutely loved the pool, spa, breakfast (ate [More] to their heart's content), and watched plenty of tv. I'd definitely stay at this location or at another Holiday Inn Express in the future. We had issues with the air conditioner (too cold then not cold enough) but I didn't make a stink about it because it wasn't anything to whine about. There was a dog barking in the wee hours of the morning; it wasn't on hotel property so I didn't expect them to do much. There was a nightlight in the room that was insanely annoying. It could be seen throughout the whole suite. The brightness of the light made it very difficult to sleep. We ended up covering it up with a structure we created out of boxes and pillows. After that the room was nice and dark. Having an option to turn off the nightlight would be nice. [Less]
