This is one of the best stays that I have so far with InterCon.
First, due to the flight arrangement, instead of arriving at 2:30 PM in the afternoon, my family and I arrived at the Hotel 2:30 AM,
August 5, 2015. I reached the Hotel and tried to get a room with 2 beds, however, they were all sold out. However, the gentleman at the front desk told me that I can stay near by restaurant which open 24-7. So, we all gone there and had our snack over there.
By 7 AM, I went back to the front desk and a woman told me that the Hotel will try to get me a room by 9 AM. Please note that normally, guests cannot check in until 3 PM, but, she is trying to get my family and myself a room by 9 AM.
So, I got back there at 9 AM and check in, the room was not yet ready but need 30 more minutes, meanwhile, the front desk staffs offer me to purchase the Club IC Lounge access at $50 per day per adult since I am the IC Ambassador. Even I was reluctant to purchase the access, as I have been given and invited to visit the lounges every where I stay. However, I purchased it anyway, as the token of appreciation the staffs helped me out to get a room at 9 AM! The woman asked me what was the occasion and I told her is was for my wife's birthday.
She also suggested me that my family and I can have breakfast at the Club IC Lounge while waiting for the room. SO, we all went up to the Lounge and had our breakfast.
For the Lounge, there are breakfast, snack, Tea-time, Happy Hours and Sweet-night time serve.
The breakfast was OK, they have scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits and coffee. Very nice for the morning rush especially we can have a full stomach before we do the sight-seeing.
The Happy Hours were the best part for me! They serve all-you-can drink beer and wines. However, the red wine they serve was a very cheap one that you can buy at your local 99 Cents stores for $2.99 a bottle. I think that InterCon SF needs to improve the wine that they serve. However, the beers served were great and have so many different varieties to chose from.
On the second day happy hour, the food they served were so salty and as soon as they manager knew about it, she have the Chef to take them away and put on some new food. This is what we expect from customers' service. While there are so many other Hotels they will tell you they really do appreciate your opinion and tell you apology, seldom of them will take corrective actions immediately. Great job, InterCon SF! You have my Vote!
At about 10 AM, we were in our room with a great view!
By the way, there is an indoor pool and spa at this Hotel. Great feature to swim at with the cold and chill weather at SF!
There is also a high-scale, Michelin star-rated restaurant on site. Everyone Should try this out!
The most surprised arrangement that the Hotel had for us was the gift that they have set up for my wife when we came back after a long-day of sight-seeing, (see the pictures).
I really appreciate the special thoughts that Gina at the Club IC and the guest services at InterCon.
Little thing does not mean anything but MEAN EVERYTHING!
That's why I do not care to pay little bit more and stay with InterCon. It always pay off and get more then what I have paid.
I really enjoy this stay with InterCon SF, for sure that I will be back in the future!
