Featured Chicago Hotels

Chicago is a land of rich culture, unique architecture, delicious food, famous winds and more. The city—America’s third largest—is home to more than 2.7 million people, which rises to 10 million when you include residents of the greater Chicago area. It is a great sports town, where the Bears shuffled up a Super Bowl victory, Michael Jordan once ruled the NBA, and the Cubs and White Sox still swing for the fences. With dozens of Chicago hotels to choose from, IHG has the perfect room for your visit to this major Midwestern city. Plan your trip to Chicago with additional tips from the IHG Travel Blog, starting with our
Essential Travel Guide to Chicago.

Things to See

One of Chicago’s foremost attractions is 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory). Located on the 94th floor of John Hancock Center, it offers 360-degree views from a 17,000-square-foot observation deck, and visibility of up to 50 miles—a range that includes Chicago’s skyline, four nearby states and Lake Michigan. You can also dine and shop, or test your mettle at Tilt, a glass-enclosed platform that extends outward from the building at a 30-degree angle as you lean against it. Lincoln Zoo, which offers all guests free admission year-round, has hundreds of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians for your family to meet. You can explore the city’s rich and fascinating past at Chicago History Museum, admire the abstract at Museum of Contemporary Art, and take a boating tour of waterside wonders at Navy Pier, which also features mini-golf and a 150-foot Ferris wheel. You’ll find great live music at Green Mill, amazing urban architecture at Millennium Park, and a whole universe to discover at Adler Planetarium.

Hotels in Chicago

Chicago hotels offer a variety of ways to make your visit as comfortable and convenient to your needs as possible, whether you’re traveling solo for business or seeking a relaxing vacation with loved ones.

Where to Stay

Book a room on Magnificent Mile, a bustling section of Michigan Avenue with upscale shopping and entertainment, if you want to be in the heart of Chicago's action. The scenic and walkable area that includes Gold Coast and Old Town has a thriving nightlife, while Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville have fantastic nearby attractions for fun-seeking families.

How to Get to Chicago

O'Hare International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and has a variety of ground transportation options. Midway International Airport handles mostly domestic flights and is unlikely to be as crowded as O'Hare, and other choices include Gary/Chicago International Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Several Chicago hotels have shuttle service, however it’s a good idea to investigate public transportation options in the event it is not offered by your hotel.

It is a great location for staying, within walking distance to Sears Tower. And there is a Whole Foods Market by the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel is very neat and clean. [Less]
Sleepless in Chicago
By Chewy651
The hotel looks good and lobby was good. Valet is slow and crowed in the front entrance. Valet system is horrid. Could not find valet guy at his podium, had to wait. Crowd of people outside the [More] entrance, but don't know if they are even guest there. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean, but one of the towel had stains that did not come clean, so look like it is used. Location is close to down town, so there were many sirens in the middle of the night. Could hear them even with the AC blasting. Balcony was a nice touch though. Could see part of down town. [Less]
Comfortable Bed
By Sharon0719
Room was clean, beds were very comfortable, staff was super helpful and friendly; lobby and common areas were outdated; located right next to a major freeway so noise was loud. But overall good [More] value. Easy walk to stores, restaurants, bars. [Less]
Good Location
The hotel is in a very good location from both airports and the city with a shuttle service to the local shopping mall and train station. Szymon, Jocquin and Latrice were amazing and made my stay [More] memorable and want to return. And the lovely lady during breakfast during the first few days of my stay. Thank you all very much. Prices have risen TREMENDOUSLY
By have machine will travel1
WE TRULY LOVE THIS HOTEL AND HAVE CHOSEN IT FOR ALL OF OUR FAMILY AND MEDICAL TRIPS TO THE AREA. HOWEVER, I FOUND THAT THE COST THIS LAST MEDICAL STAY WILL PROHIBIT US FROM STAYING MANY TIMES IN OUR [More] FAVORITE HOTEL. I was disappointed that you no longer offer discount coupons in the lodging booklets found in the Rest Area displays. For the pricing and the lack of the coupons, we will be forced PROBABLY to stay at a competitors in the future - WHICH BREAKS MY HEART!!! [Less]
