Featured New Orleans Hotels

New Orleans is a world unto itself, where delicious food, Mardi Gras revelry and inimitable music are all part of the city’s traditions and character. It’s difficult to avoid falling for its lovely European architecture, and the city’s sights and sounds mingle to create a powerful experience no vacationer is likely to forget. New Orleans’ subtropical climate means you can expect fairly warm weather, and remember that summer is the city's wettest season, so pack an umbrella.

Things to See

This eclectic Southern city will undoubtedly satisfy your taste buds with delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it will also delight your other senses. If you're craving a party, you won’t have to wait until Mardi Gras to visit. You can wander down Bourbon Street any day of the week to take in New Orleans' outstanding nightlife. Mellow out with the blues at Funky Pirate, ride the mechanical bull at Bourbon Cowboy or put on a karaoke show at Cat's Meow. If you still want more of New Orleans' music scene, head over to Frenchmen Street to hear authentic local jazz at landmarks like Snug Harbor. New Orleans has more than just nightclubs to keep you enthralled. Jackson Square, located in the French Quarter, is a necessary stop for history buffs. Gaze at the Cabildo, the building where the Louisiana Purchase changed the nation forever, and admire the St. Louis Cathedral before meandering through the Presbytère’s Mardi Gras exhibit. If you’re traveling with children, City Park has hundreds of acres of open green space. Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are sure to please the youngest members of your group.

If you're all about exploring and don't mind if your hotel doesn't offer a lot of luxurious details, we have a variety of clean, simple and inviting hotels. On the other hand, there are plenty options if you want to indulge; some of our hotels offer stellar views of the river, while others put you right in the heart of the action. Where to Stay

New Orleans' famous French Quarter offers much to visitors, and staying in the area puts you within walking distance of top attractions, which is a bonus since parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. If you want more serene surroundings, Marigny is a quiet residential neighborhood near the French Quarter with plenty of things to do. Mid-City is another low-key area with lovely green spaces and easy access to downtown. You might also want to look beyond New Orleans' borders for a place to stay. Some nearby hotels might offer lower rates, and if you're renting a car, you can still experience the city's charm with ease.

How to Get To New Orleans

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 13 miles from downtown. Some hotels in Louisiana offer shuttle service, so remember to check before you book. You can easily rent a car at the airport or take public transit to the city center.

nice stay

The hotel experience was excellent. The only issue was being awakened by the housekeepers early as we were afforded a late check out. The late check out very appreciated [Less]
Convenient location, clean room, and excellent breakfast
By Skippy63
Our first time at his property, but would choose it again in the future based on the clean room and convenient location to the New Orleans Airport. The breakfast was one of the best that we have had [More] in a hotel. [Less]

Overall very nice
By Hawgfan1$
This hotel had very nice personnel. The place was clean and well kept. We did not have some of the amenities in the bathroom that I am used to from a Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast was fantastic. [More] The prices were very high due to the fact that the New Orleans Jazz Fest was going on, I do not understand the large increase in price. Also, there was no shuttle bus available to take you downtown, to the festival, or even to the airport for that matter. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. [Less]
Passing through
By Firequeen62
We stayed at this hotel on the first night we returned from a cruise. We wanted to have a day/night in New Orleans to look around but unfortunately the weather disagreed. We chose this hotel because [More] it was a more reasonable price than anything in the French Quarter, and we always like to choose somewhere that includes breakfast to save on costs. The front desk staff were wonderful and friendly. We arrived earlier that planned because the rain wasn't conducive to exploring the city and the staff were completely understanding on the situation and got us into a room quickly. They also provided information about local restaurants, and even loaned us their personal copies of the menus so that we could decide. We then went and got some take out, returned to our room and had a delicious dinner while watching NBA playoffs. [Less]
An excellent NOLA east spot
By Djsonn
This is an excellent hotel on the east side of New Orleans. Only about 10 or 15 minutes from French Quarter. Prices are a bargain. The girls working front desk at check in were very nice, attentive, [More] and answered my questions about getting around the area. My room was a suite. Very clean. Fresh smelling linen and towels. Shower pressure was a little low, but not bad. Decor is a little outdated, but the room overall was roomy and comfortable. Tip... try the Bullard Seafood and Grill next door. Very good food. Not expensive and fast. Also, New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood is just down the street. It's another good spot to eat if you need something nearby. Breakfast in the hotel is ok... but I wish the Holiday Inns would stop using plastic plates and utensils . They all do, but switching to silverware and plates would be such a nice touch. The rooms use a Kcup style coffeemaker, so bring along a few of your favorite kcup coffees to use instead of the hotel brank. It's fine, but I prefer my favorites. [Less]

Wonderful Time in NOLA
By Librarylover
This is the place to stay when you come to New Orleans and want to feel special without spending the dollars to stay in the French Quarter itself. Pricing for the room, as well as parking, worked [More] well for us, and we still were in walking distance. Wonderful staff. The concierge provided helpful information for our tourist experience. A personal welcome letter added just the right touch. [Less]
