Featured Boston Hotels

Old-world charm meets modern energy in Boston, Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Here in one of America’s most historic cities you’ll find attractions of all sorts, from sites along the Freedom Trail to the excitement of Fenway Park. With IHG’s wide-ranging Boston hotel options, you can choose the perfect place to begin exploring all the city has to offer, whether that’s the city center or the quiet pockets of Boston's outlying neighborhoods..

Things to See

Begin with a walk along Boston’s 2.5-mile Freedom Trail, which winds through the city and marks 16 key historic sites, including The Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill Monument, and King's Chapel Burying Ground. Pivot from the past to the present with a stop at the cutting-edge Institute of Contemporary Art, located on the Boston waterfront in the city’s buzzing Fort Point Channel neighborhood. Or, on the other side of town on Boston’s lush and scenic Fens parkway, you can see for yourself why the Museum of Fine Arts’ enormous and diverse collection is one of America's most impressive. Even non-sports-enthusiasts are known to find themselves cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park, the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the U.S. And if you need a moment to catch your breath, you can always paddle a swan boat on the pond in the Boston Public Garden.

Hotels in Boston

IHG’s highly acclaimed Boston hotels appeal to a wide range of travelers and visitors. With enhanced guest experiences, and new or renovated amenities that include great restaurants, bars, spas, fitness centers and more, our hotels remain remarkable as new hotels, major brands as well as boutique hotels and hostels, arrive every year.

Where to Stay

Downtown Boston is the perfect choice for travelers who want a hotel in Boston that’s located in the middle of the action. The area’s many highlights are located within walking distance of most hotels, from historic Beacon Hill with its variety of antique shops to upscale Back Bay with its many shops and restaurants. And the Fenway neighborhood is definitely ideal if your Boston visit was motivated by the city’s great sports history and culture.

How to Get to Boston

Boston Logan International Airport, located 10 minutes from the city center by ground transportation, serves travelers from across the United States and the world. Free Massport shuttles ferry passengers between airport terminals and the airport station, where they can catch the T, Boston’s subway, into the downtown area or its surrounding neighborhoods. While public transport is the most economical option, you may also prefer to catch a cab from the airport to their hotel.

Rental cars are readily available throughout Boston, yet taking on the narrow, one-way streets can be a daunting proposition for visiting guests, not to mention the high price of parking. You might find it easier and more convenient to stay close to the city’s center and navigate the area by foot. You’ll find taxi stands throughout the city, particularly outside large hotels. The T, Boston’s subway, train and trolley system, is also a great resource if you plan to stay or travel outside the downtown area.

Nice modern hotel
By MichaelFromLI
I'm going to be spending a lot more in the MA area so it was nice to find a hotel in a central area to most of my business. The hotel still has the new look and feel and the staff was friendly from [More] the front desk to the breakfast area. Parking can be complicated with the restaurants on the property where there are a lot of restricted spots. If you are not from the NE and expect to find biscuits and gravy as I have at most other Holiday Inn Express locations you will be disappointed. Overall it was a good experience. [Less]
Consistent, Clean, Friendly and Great Value
By Whites53
HIE Woburn team delivered without fail. I have stayed at this property numerous times over the past three months. The competent and conscientious staff made sure each stay was as good as the last. [More] Special shout outs to Alexandra and Molly-- Alexandra who greeted the guests each morning with the complimentary breakfast and Molly, the friendly front desk professional with remarkable attention to detail. The service, quality and cleanliness have been consistent. Hands down, great value. [Less]

Reasonable Rates and Convenient Location
By cwyoungA2
Hotel was conveniently located to Hingham where I have family. Even though areas were being renovated the appearance was not an issue. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Would definitely stay [More] again the next time in area to visit family. [Less]
Great Staff - Room clean....??
By BootVT
This was a rewards night, so i really can't complain. However, my room had someone else's left overs left behind in it, ( in the fridge , which made the room smell unpleasant) which also means it [More] wasn't cleaned very thoroughly . When we tried to throw away the trash, the charged us for " mini bar purchases" .lol.. not sure what happened there. The bellman who welcomed us " from Philly" was warm and memorable. really nice staff and beautiful property. [Less]
Great Hotel
By Moufid
I have stayed at this hotel several times and it was always a great experience. From the moment I checked in,the ladies at the counter, specially Gabriella and Simone , were very gracious and made [More] feel the value of being a Spire member. The suite was very comfortable, spacious, with beautiful view of the bay. The service is excellent and I personally like the location a lot. I will not even consider staying anywhere else when I am in Boston . [Less]
By Far The Best
By DMG5
I have been staying at the Intercontinental Boston for the last two or three years and by the far this is THE best hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment you check in and through your entire [More] stay their goal is to give you an exceptional stay. Each every time I have stayed they have achieved this. If you can travel during non-busy times the rates and the value are the best. As well, become a member of the IHG program and if you stay at Intercontinental Hotels become a member the benefits outweigh the cost without question. I typically get coffee, a croissant, and a banana and there is one person who works at the restaurant who remembers me and makes me feel as if I am at home. One specific area that they excel for me personally is making sure I'm all set as I am considered legally blind. The concierge typically calls during my first stay to make sure that everything is okay and if I should need anything to let the know. No other hotel has done this or even noticed when I use and ID at check-in indicating my blind status. The beds are very comfortable incredible pillows, and the soaking tub is something I look forward to each stay. The bad news is I am relocating to Boston and will no longer have to stay at this hotel. [Less]
