Pleasant Experience in Nov. 2015
Very friendly service, good clean rooms and a very convenient location. Due to airline strike we had to shift the booking by two weeks - the Reservation Team at the hotel was extremely helpful and[More] friendly- thanks! The bar is great, great beer selection and good food. Sure choice for next NY trip![Less]
Great Spot for Short Stay in Manhattan
I was a the Holiday Inn Manhattan Financial District Tuesday 11/17 - Thursday 11/19. The purpose of my trip was business. I found this hotel extremely accommodating and a step above other hotels I[More] have stayed at in the area. Specifically, I was impressed with layout and functionality of the room, while on the smaller side (normal for Manhattan) it was very comfortable and appointed well. Internet (wifi) was solid, if not the fastest. All in all I have requested all future travel to this area be booked at this hotel![Less]
room and bed was comfortable
the bar tenders did not come out to the tables to take or refill my drink orders.[Less]
THIS WAS MY SECOND STAY AT THIS HOTEL. BOTH TIMES I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED. THE STAFF IS SO HELPFUL. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE PART OF THEIR FAMILY.[Less]

Wonderful olde worlde hotel
We split our visit between two hotels in NY, this one and the Crowne Plaza Times Square. We didn't know how far out we'd be from the action at this location but we needn't have worried, it within[More] walking distance of all the attractions, and grand central station is on the doorstep.
The hotel has an old grand feel about it, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was good, the bathroom was a little cramped and dated but the bed was wonderfully large and comfortable. I think the hotel was closing shortly after our visit for refurbishment so maybe the bathrooms will be updated. We had a room on the 6th floor (one below the top) and we faced onto a busy street but heard minimal noise.
I do hope then they refurbish they don't take away the old charm of the place because it really is a little haven in a very busy city.[Less]
