Featured New York City Hotels

New York City is the most popular destination in the world, and for good reason. With first-class entertainment options, world-famous landmarks, buzzing street activity and nightlife, it is an epicenter of culture, diversity and excitement. Your choices are seemingly endless when it comes to hotels, which means deciding which hotel to book can be a challenge, as options range from hostels to ultra-luxurious global chains. IHG® can help you find accommodations that cater to your wants and needs while you explore what makes NYC so unique.

Things to See

New York City is home to a multitude of world-renowned landmarks, so prioritizing your time during your visit is essential. For the ultimate sightseeing adventure, consider one of the hotels in Manhattan, home to the Empire State Building, Times Square, Wall Street and the 9/11 Memorial. Manhattan can easily fill your itinerary with must-dos, and a short boat ride across the harbor takes you to the Statue of Liberty. After a day of sightseeing, a stroll through Central Park is an excellent way to unwind.

Hotels in New York City

New York City hosts almost 55 million visitors each year and offers an incredible array of destinations and attractions to explore. Regardless of when you go, where you stay or what you do, there are plenty of hotels to fit your specific needs, and by booking through IHG, you are assured a great stay while you explore New York.

Where to Stay

When considering hotels in New York City, first choose your ideal borough, since each has its own character, advantages and charms. You may want to be closer to the multicultural cuisine of Queens or the tree-lined streets of Brooklyn. Midtown Manhattan is a prime location for visitors wanting to be within walking distance of Broadway plays or 5th Avenue shops, although they can be expensive. If you want to be in the middle of the action, look for a Times Square hotel location. Luckily, there are many reasonably priced hotels inside and outside of Manhattan, and getting around is easy.

How to Get to New York City

The New York City metropolitan area is served by three key airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, which is only 15 miles from Manhattan. Those visiting the city by rail will enjoy the iconic Grand Central Terminal or Pennsylvania Station, the city's two main railway stations. Travelers with shorter stays may find New York City hotels near major transportation hubs more convenient and more budget-friendly.

The thought of getting around the city can be intimidating for first-time visitors, but traveling throughout the city and its five boroughs is surprisingly easy, thanks to the extensive Metro subway system. Along with its low cost and vast network of routes, the Metro is an efficient way to explore the city. In addition, you can easily hail a cab for a direct route to your destination.

nice stay
By Saxofficer
This is a very nice Crowne Plaza. The rooms are lovely, the staff is great. They serve a GREAT pot of coffee from room service. Improvements can be the following: More towels in the bathroom(there [More] were 2 of us and 2 large towels, nothing for my hair) . A refrigerator in an executive room would be welcome. We asked for extra Keurig for day 2 from housekeeping(along with towels and leaving a $5 tip)to no avail. . At restaurant closing time the scraping above us was awful. Had we gone to bed any earlier it would have woken us. It delayed our sleep instead . No menus or information books in room whatsoever. [Less]

Great new place, need to work out the kinks, and better the service and food in the restaurant, but overall not bad. [Less]
"Best Mistake I Have Ever Made"
By miserere
When I made the booking, I really thought I was booking Holiday Inn at Saddle Brook, which was located on Pehle Ave on the North side of Route 80, close to Garden State Parkway. On the date of [More] arrival, I realized that I made a mistake. However, it turned out to be a nice mistake. This hotel was a brand new hotel located in a cylindrical landmark building visible from Route 80. Everything is fresh and new. The staffs at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I arrived early and requested late checkout and all the requests were arranged promptly and smoothly. The room I got was on the 9th floor facing the highway. Maybe a little noisy for some but I am from NYC and I have been in noisier room than this before. The bathroom was a bit small but it's efficient. I like the shower stall. It had a regular shower plus an overhead rainstream shower head. It is a nice surprise for I only expected something like this from The Indigo Hotels (another IHG brand). The bed and pillow were very comfortable as well. I heard some good comments about the Sky Restaurant and Lounge located on the 12th floor. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to experience it first hand. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. I highly recommend this property. "Get it while it's fresh!" :-) [Less]
Convenient location

In addition to everything else that I noted, there were several great restaurants within walking distance. [Less]
Great location, clean and affordable
By Cleverdude
I'm a fan of Holiday Inn Express properties, and unlike other chains, every one I've stayed at has been very consistently clean, affordable and comfortable. I was worried staying at one for such a [More] reasonable price so close to Times Square, but outside of a much smaller room than more suburban locations (and a slow elevator to the top floor), this hotel did not disappoint. I would definitely stay here again! [Less]
Love the beds

I checked in late, but the staff was well prepared and it only took a moment. Hotel was nice and clean, and quiet despite being in NYC. [Less]
The hotel manager
By jon0007
Chris is by far the most hospitable manager I have ever met. He goes out of his way to get to know all of the guests and gets very involved at the weekly social. The food and his attention makes this [More] my favorite candlewood in the usa to date. [Less]
Great location very clean!
I would always recommend this location. It was super clean, they are quick to make any adjustments if you need anything and it was great having your own little kitchen for a quick meal. [Less]
The Staff is AWESOME!!
By Sam in Texas
The staff here is AMAZING!! Close to train and shopping. This hotel is so close to NYC and other shopping areas. I really enjoyed my stay and the staff is so attentive and friendly. Kirsh, Samantha, [More] Jackie, Mannie, the housekeeping and whoever I missed, I am so appreciative for their personal attention, they really made my 6 month stay Home away from Home. This means a lot when you travel 90% for work. [Less]
