Great quality that I usually expect of Holiday Inn's stays, however the breakfast area was pretty small with limited seating (but there was also about 10 people from Krispy Kreme down there every day [More] so I'm not sure if this is the norm). Also the elevator was a bit crickity and loud to ride on. I trusted it, but it was still a little disconcerting. [Less]

The price of the room and the efficiency and quality of the staff were all excellent. My only negative is that I'm used to having a nice continental breakfast... I had to pay for this separately, [More] which was a little annoying. But combining the price of the room and the price of breakfast - its still a great value. [Less]
unnecessary stress

I was calling in to confirm my reservation and was told by the 'desk clear' the entire reservation had been cancelled. I properly cancelled the Monday night stay the Friday before. I even rec'd an [More] email confirmation on Saturday. Monday when I called, I was treated very 'curtly' and being accused of 'improper cancellation.' I called the 800 number and they were confused why the local hotel cancelled the whole reservation claiming a 'no show' - when they had send a confirmation on a Monday arrival. I have stayed many nights there and have enjoyed it, but this stuck out like a sore thumb. There are a few staff members that carry 'too much drama'... and is transparent to the customer. Will try one more reservation. Also, for the fist time, aside from my state employee ID, I was asked for PROOF, I was really working there....! NEVER before... and the message it sends the customer is egregious. [Less]
