We went to Hocking Hills because it was recommended by friends. The area was pretty, but too rugged for us. If you love zip-lining, hiking, and nature, family-oriented stuff, a fabulous location.
We stayed in the hotel in preference to a cabin because we thought it would be a central location and give us the opportunity to explore the region. It was not downtown Logan, which, to be honest, wasn't far away but wasn't much either. The hotel itself was average and a little pricey. The room was not thoroughly clean but adequate. The indoor pool looked a little cloudy, but was well used, and there was a Jacuzzi. We didn't use either.
There were two great restaurants within walking distance, one across the street, and the other just down the road.
It was within walking distance of Lake Logan.
All in all, a good experience. I can certainly recommend it as a good place to get acquainted with Hocking Hills. [Less]
