This Was A Return Trip For Me
By PittsburghBearTraveler
And when I learned that I needed to book a hotel in Alvin again, I was sure I was going to book the Holiday Inn Express again. The staff here is awesome. I honestly felt like I was appreciated. [More] Everyone I dealt with were nice, professional, and knowledgeable. My only suggestion would be to get the ice machine on the third floor fixed, and actually, by the time I write this, it probably is. Good work, Holiday Inn Express - Alvin! Keep it up! [Less]

Great Hotel in Alvin, TX
By Traveler-R
The Holiday Inn Express in Alvin Texas is a great place to stay. From checking in to checking out - it was a great stay. Very clean from the lobby to the hallway, to the breakfast room, to the guest [More] room and the bathroom. The mattress was very comfortable along with the linens. [Less]
Nice Texas City stay
By billbon
We have often stayed at another hotel which is also in Texas City, but it recently changed hands. The reviews for HIE were good and we wanted to give it a try. Very nice place-presented a good [More] impression upon check-in. The room was very nice and quiet. They accommodated our request for the top floor. We thought it was a little pricey but don't feel it was poor value. Would definitely stay at this location again. [Less]

We were so pleased with our room-it was large with high ceilings, very clean; the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Service was excellent. [Less]
Nice location and a pleasant stay

This is the second time we stayed here. This time, we were unable to get a two bedroom apartment but the single bedroom (twin beds) and sofa bed were quite adequate. The front desk staff were very [More] friendly and helpful [Less]
Great property
By JSEE
My wife had never been to Galveston, but had grown up going to the MS, AL, FL gulf coast beaches. Since she now lives in Texas (I grew up here) we thought it might be fun to hit a beach within a few [More] hours of home. Obviously Galveston is no Destin but being by the Gulf and the water was fun. It was a slow time of the year for the area so there was not a lot of traffic and people here. The room was nice. There were only the two of us on this trip but it could easily handle the kids as well. The room was more like a condo to me than a hotel. It had a shared Washer and dryer with one other room. It also had a full kitchen with plates and other furnishings. The amenities were nice they had a pool right outside our door (we were on the bottom floor) and had a pathway to the beach right down from the pool. This place is on the edge of town but I felt that was better, it gives you a private beach feel that you wouldn't have closer to town. Moody gardens is just up the road and we were down to the pier in minutes. We also toured the Bishops palace and rode the ferry while in town. Both of those were rather fun. Overall it was a good stay and would recommended this property to others wanting to stay on the beach in Galveston island. [Less]
Heaven on earth
