Stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience.
Upon arrival, a staff dressed in local costume greeted us at the entrance and took us to the check in area. The Royalty Manager, Carol, came out
to meet us. Apparently, she was unable to reach us via my overseas mobile phone to confirm our desired room type, so she met us in person instead. What a delightful start!
After that, the same staff who took us in from entrance printed us maps of two nearby sightseeing spots, Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, and gave us a few suggestions on best routes. Upon inquiry, he even arranged local transportation for us. In fact, he met with us in the lobby the next two mornings to ensure all logistics were set up right. Big shout out to this friendly staff, who goes by nickname of Xiao Xu.
This is a resort-like facility, a luxury considering this is at near 9,000-ft in elevation. Not much else is going on outside of facility, so your choice of dining is hotel restaurants or bring own foods. While the room is comfortable, we had trouble adjusting heater. It blew hot air continuously no matter how we adjusted the thermometer, making the room really warm. We had to shut it down entirely.
Overall, this is a great hotel with friendly staff. Highly recommended. [Less]
