Featured Amsterdam Hotels

We have thirteen Amsterdam family hotels in various spots around the Dutch capital, including one at Schiphol airport and a number in the centre of the city.

Although not always associated with family breaks, Amsterdam has hundreds of cultural, historical and family-oriented attractions to keep people of all ages entertained. A walk around this beautiful city in the West of the Netherlands presents plenty of architecture and some magnificent landmarks - from the Bridge of 15 Bridges to the Leiden Square and the Riekermolen (one of the most famous windmills in the world).

Travelling with children? The Artis Zoo to the east of the city centre is sure to keep them entertained. Add to that the 70+ museums in the city and there's plenty to do for a family-friendly visit. The Dutch National Museum, the Jewish Historical Museum and the Science Centre are amongst many with fascinating exhibits for those of all ages.

If you've made time for some shopping, you will not be disappointed. Amsterdam's exclusive P.C. Hooftstraat delivers designer labels en masse, while the cities many markets accommodate the bargain hunters and those seeking that something unique.

Sports fans are catered for here too. In addition to the Amsterdam Arena, which is home to the Ajax football team, the city also hosts two semi-professional ice hockey teams. And if you fancy indulging in a bit of activity yourself, the city is home to Vondelpark - a huge park area. Go for a family kick around, a little run or a brisk walk and enjoy the surroundings.

You can fly direct to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport from London airports, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh, amongst other UK cities. You can also reach Amsterdam by rail from many other major European cities.

If you're planning a trip to the Netherlands, let us make you and yours right at home in one of our many Amsterdam family hotels.

Great staff, lovely breakfast, even with the hotel being very busy, . There was a problem with the hot water but staff were very helpful and looked after us well. [Less]
Reasonable value with friendly helpful staff
By Richard_066
Being set back on a short side road, the hotel was peaceful but a little difficult to find. I stayed just over a week and found the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. In [More] particular, Inge always had a smile for everyone. The hotel is basic but modern and the room, bathroom and common areas were very clean. For a budget hotel in Europe, the room was a good size and well laid out, although a fridge, iron, ironing board, safe and clothes lockers would have been welcome additions. Breakfast was reasonable quality continental-style with a fair selection of cold items (plus hard-boiled eggs). Free Wi-Fi worked well with no hassles and the room had adequate power outlets. There is also a general supermarket, several restaurants and a range of other shops, stalls and kiosks in the immediate vicinity and the hotel is very close to Metro, tram and bus routes. Overall, it was good value. [Less]

Great hotel and service
By SJ2605
The Staff is awesome in this hotel seldom have I seen so genuinely helpful and kind people from top to bottom regardless of title. I have now stayed in this hotel times during the last 5 years and [More] will certainly always return. Thank you all at the hotel! [Less]
What is that
By Ron Bob
No bourbon in the Bar. When asked for bourbon the response was "What is that?" Now there was plenty of Scotch and a bottle of Jack Daniel's (this is not exactly bourbon) so ended up with a local beer [More] that was excellent. You will find that many USA travelers prefer bourbon, an American whiskey from Kentucky. Now other than that everything was fine for our visit. [Less]
Great Schiphol Pre Cruise Choice
By 70Loreto
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights prior to a cruise. The hotel emailed me the AMS shuttle schedule and pick up location ahead of my stay, which was really appreciated. Shuttle service and driver [More] were great. the staff was very welcoming. The recommended nearby restaurant was very good, and there is a delightful, free small animal park next to the restaurant. Our room was small but comfortable, and the bathroom was well equipped, with plenty of hot water. An in room coffee/tea service was provided. We found the room was a little too warm at night. The front desk can change the thermostat, which they did, but it was still to warm, with no way to open a window. Breakfast selection was outstanding, and the staff very helpful. In all, I would definitely use this hotel again!. [Less]
Break after transatlantic cruise
By BeachSteelers
Finished transatlantic cruise in order to enjoy tulips and Amsterdam for three days. Hotel was convenient for air departure and we purchased three day public transport ticket to facilitate travel. [More] That proved to be very economical when combined with the shuttle to the airport from the hotel. [Less]
