We have thirteen Amsterdam family hotels in various spots around the Dutch capital, including one at Schiphol airport and a number in the centre of the city.
Although not always associated with family breaks, Amsterdam has hundreds of cultural, historical and family-oriented attractions to keep people of all ages entertained. A walk around this beautiful city in the West of the Netherlands presents plenty of architecture and some magnificent landmarks - from the Bridge of 15 Bridges to the Leiden Square and the Riekermolen (one of the most famous windmills in the world).
Travelling with children? The Artis Zoo to the east of the city centre is sure to keep them entertained. Add to that the 70+ museums in the city and there's plenty to do for a family-friendly visit. The Dutch National Museum, the Jewish Historical Museum and the Science Centre are amongst many with fascinating exhibits for those of all ages.
If you've made time for some shopping, you will not be disappointed. Amsterdam's exclusive P.C. Hooftstraat delivers designer labels en masse, while the cities many markets accommodate the bargain hunters and those seeking that something unique.
Sports fans are catered for here too. In addition to the Amsterdam Arena, which is home to the Ajax football team, the city also hosts two semi-professional ice hockey teams. And if you fancy indulging in a bit of activity yourself, the city is home to Vondelpark - a huge park area. Go for a family kick around, a little run or a brisk walk and enjoy the surroundings.
You can fly direct to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport from London airports, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh, amongst other UK cities. You can also reach Amsterdam by rail from many other major European cities.
If you're planning a trip to the Netherlands, let us make you and yours right at home in one of our many Amsterdam family hotels.
