Stay among apple orchards and traditional English "oast" houses when you book at one of our Holiday Inn® Ashford hotels. Tree-lined streets flanked by medieval and Tudor buildings bustle with shoppers while the nearby Eurostar speeds visitors to the continent.

Set in the heart of the English countryside, Ashford's ancient center buzzes with the modern conveniences of 21st-century life. Visitors and locals pass by one of the few remaining First World War era tanks as they browse the wide selection of independent shops or head for coffee in a street-side cafe. Minutes from our Ashford hotels is the New Mill at Willesborough, a fully functioning Victorian windmill and now a fascinating museum filled with vintage bicycles and mopeds. Henry VIII's former home at Leeds Castle is just a short drive from our hotels in Ashford. With its fairy-tale turrets and deep moat, this is to many the quintessential English castle.

Ashford's small town center is crammed with lively cafes serving fast and affordable light lunches. The local pubs, which pride themselves on their warm welcome, make cozy spots to settle in for a long evening of dining and sipping pints of traditional "real ale"-unfiltered cask-conditioned beer. Bargain hunters make a beeline for the deeply discounted goods at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, a center for 80 designer brands and close to our Ashford hotels.

Book into one of our Ashford hotels to experience this vibrant historic town and its leisure-time pleasures. Venture out from our Ashford hotels into rural Kentish for hikes in the countryside and tasting tours at Biddenden Vineyards, which is putting English sparkling wines on the map and producing that most English of beverages, cider.

Overall a pleasurable experience
By nlpnlp26
I recently stayed at the Folkestone Channel Tunnel hotel to facilitate an early morning departure. I stayed with my daughter so we had 2 single beds. I am not sure if it is because I am used to a [More] double bed, but I did find the single bed slightly 'flimsy' although it did not stop me sleeping. The only other moan was the quality of the pillows. which seemed a bit thin. Otherwise the location of the hotel is great, it was clean and the staff helpful and attentive. The hotel offered us everything that we wanted for an overnight stay and free internet and breakfast is a welcome touch compared to some other hotel chains. The hotel was excellent value for money and I would be happy to return to stay here in the future. [Less]
Efficient service

Adequate parking and efficient check-in. I had booked two rooms but made the reservations on different dates. The bookings were recognised and appropriately linked with all paperwork ready on [More] arrival. We were greeted in a friendly, professional manner. Our enquiry about an evening meal was answered and immediate booking made. Comfortable rooms with essential items provided. Free wifi useful. [Less]

From the minute that we arrived the front of house staff were so friendly and helpful, If only all customer facing people were that good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. [Less]
Good overnighter
By Dorset Grandad
A little less of the business "glass and plastic" that I normally expect. A good effort with the gardens. The dinner was better than average. It suited me as an overnight stop on my way to visit [More] family. [Less]

One night in Rochester

This was not my first visit to this hotel. At reception we were greeted by Davin, and very helpful he was I told him about my difficulty booking the hotel having to speak to America, to someone who [More] could not understand me. It also cost me over £7 for the privilege. I was not sure what I had booked. I only knew I had a room. We were booked in and went off to find our room, and a very long way it was. However it was a recently refurbished room and had a good view of the airport ( well it would have done if one of the windows wasn’t blown )( had moisture in it.) It had a lovely big Television and was well equipped and modern. The trouble I had was the fridge was not working and I needed to keep my eye drops cool. I rang reception and asked for some help. I spoke to Davin and was assured that someone would be right up. A very good and kind person arrived called Peter. He looked at the fridge and found that as I had seen that the control was on full. He then offered a change of room; we went to this room and found that the fridge in this room was the same, no point in moving. He then offered to store the eye drops in the fridge in the bar. I took him up on this very kind offer and all went well. After all this we went for a swim, the pool is great, and the staff very good. This is the best asset the hotel has. I must admit that my wife and I pick out hotels with pools, we both love swimming. We enjoyed our evening meal, the staff were excellent, well worth the service charge. The rest of the stay went well a good night’s sleep and the breakfast was good especially when Peter got me some bread , as I was told by one of the other staff only olive bread and bread for toast was left. Just two points I would like to make just as things you could do to improve things. Only one dressing gown with two people in the room. No toilet roll holder. ( maybe it is not the done thing to have one, or are they on order) All in all we had a good stay in this hotel the staff are the greatest, thought full and efficient. [Less]
