Holiday Inn Express Liverpool -John Lennon Airport
On arrival we were welcomed immediately and allowed to check in early to get ourselves ready for the wedding we were attending. Room was as expected...no frills, but clean and well presented.
The[More] only let down was the breakfast...the sausages tasted cheap, there was no bacon, and the coffee was terrible. The staff were so slow to clear tables that guests were having to move dirty plates around themselves just to be able to sit down and eat at a dirty table.[Less]
A great stay
Really great hotel, facilities, staff, location. Lovely breakfast, great room, very comfy bed. Just needed air con... if there was air con, I couldn't find it![Less]
Great For a Quick Stop Over
The hotel was in a great location, the staff were very helpful and the room was clean. The room could use a little bit of "love" as the walls had quite a number of scuffs, but they were superficial.[Less]
Quiet hotel a little outside central manchester
Nice hotel, good breakfast. More than four bus lines regularly pass a short walk from the hotel and there is a tram station not far from it either.
Friendly staff that will in case of problems go[More] very far to suit your needs.[Less]
A good and fairly comfortable weekend
I spend a lot of time in IHG hotels and finding the right one to where I was working at the Museum of Transport, Greater Manchester for a three night stay was difficult until I came across HI[More] Manchester Central Park.
It is a busy hotel during the week and parking can be difficult but not impossible, besides it is also secure.
Check In was smooth, friendly and efficient. My room was quite spacious with a very comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom but the largish chair prevents you working comfortably at the desk for you end up sitting sideways on to the laptop!
Dinner was quite ordinary yet very filling and reasonably priced. Breakfast was self service with all you can eat and more! I wasn't enamoured by the processed scrambled egg though and there was no egg alternative to be seen on any morning.
Check out was equally friendly and efficient.[Less]
Excellent overall service!
Stayed at the Central Park because we were attending a concert at the MEN arena.
Hotel was not too far from the MEN - staff organised our Taxis without any delay.
Our room, amenities, dining[More] room, room service were all excellent and made our "night out" really pleasant.
Can well recommend the hotel and other guests were also complimenting the staff as we checked out.
Thanks for everything![Less]
the hotel seems to have had a refit recently and looks good on the inside and the rooms all look fresh.[Less]
Good hotel and location
The staff are excellent here!
Good hotel in a good location.[Less]
Poor breakfast quality marred stay
Nothing wrong with the hotel, apart from being woken at 4am by rowdy people outside. Unclear whether they were in the outside bar area or not - I suspect not. However, cannot get past the poor[More] quality of the breakfast. Cooked food was dreadful, especially the grey scrambled eggs. Fruit choice not the best including unthawed compote. Even the muesli manged to be completely tasteless.[Less]
