Featured Montreal Hotels

Known as "The Paris of North America," Montreal was founded by French explorers more than 350 years ago and boasts a rich history that provides a fascinating backdrop to its vibrant modern life. Visitors to our Holiday Inn® Montreal hotels will discover a city made up of two parts: Old City, with narrow streets, restored buildings and old houses; and modern Montreal, with skyscrapers, theaters, restaurants and glittering nightlife.

Montreal boasts one of the most unusual subways in the world. With each station unique, it's called "the largest underground art gallery in the world." Take it to Underground City, an indoor mall that also offers entertainment, as well as an escape from inclement weather. On a sunny day, visit Mount Royal Park and take in the views of the river and the hills beyond.

Relax at a café along the streets of Old Montreal and listen to the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages as they pass. Join the tuxedoed crowds at the Montreal Symphony, or scream with the Canadiens hockey fans at Bell Centre. When you're hungry, choose from many excellent restaurants featuring everything from French cuisine to superb sandwiches.

Spend your vacation at our Montreal hotels and explore "The Paris of North America."

Great choice for family trip

We stayed at this hotel in order to benefit from their La Ronde Package. We got a great deal for our money. We decided to stay at the restaurant for breakfast and really loved the food at the buffet. [Less]

I stay at a lot of Holiday Inn's as they are my hotel chain of choice. This hotel ranks up with the best of them, reception staff, very friendly when checking in, the restaurant / bar staff very [More] friendly and personable. Unfortunately, I am not bi-lingual and they made me feel very comfortable and were accommodating even with my lack of command of the French language. I had one small incident, when I went to wash my hands in my room when I arrived, the chamber staff forgot to leave bar soap, no problem I called down to the desk, the person who answered lightened the situation with a joke which was quite funny and said he would send someone up, within minutes there was a knock at the door and the soap was delivered. Mistakes can happen, it is how it is handled that makes the difference and they handled it both professionally and humorously. I like that. [Less]

Everything is relative. My stay at the Montreal Intercontinental Hotel was definitely a step up from any of the large business hotel chains, but it was not one of the truly outstanding [More] Intercontinental properties I had visited before. When I evaluate a hotel, my key points are: 1. How well did I sleep? Answer: Excellent. A very comfortable bed, a totally silent central air-conditioning system, a very clean, allergen-free room. The Montreal Intercontinental earns my highest praise in this regard. 2. How comfortable and well-designed was my room? Answer: Well, I had a nice suite, it was definitely comfortable, but it was not great. The shower was rather small, the bathroom lacked convenient surfaces to arrange my personal toilet articles, a light bulb was burned out, and the room was generally too dark at night. There was no convenient night light to make it easier to find the bathroom at night. There was a balance to weigh myself, but it didn't work. On the positive, the room had a lot of useful amenities, such as fridge, two TV screens, lots of plugs for all my electronics, and the WiFi worked wonderfully. It took a bit of time to get used to the room and its unusual layout, but by the end of my second night, I really liked the place. 3. The staff and how they treat me. ANSWER: A mixed bag. Some of my staff contacts were truly outstanding, very friendly and helpful. Very welcoming. But others didn't seem to care that much. So, my staff experience was somewhat inconsistent. [Less]
