As a guest of our Holiday Inn® Rome hotels, it's easy to explore Italy's historic capital. With papal treasures, imposing ruins and baroque squares unfolding at every turn, the Eternal City is a living monument to the glory of ancient Rome.
Plunge into the city's lively streetscape from our hotels in Rome, where candy-colored Vespas zip around cobbled alleyways. The massive Colosseum is a popular spot for family photos with costumed gladiators. In the neighboring Forum, crumbling columns evoke the days of Julius Caesar. Sunlight streams through the dome of the Pantheon just as it has since the second century A.D. The Vatican beckons with two iconic artworks by Michelangelo: the Pietà statue in St. Peter's Basilica and the painted ceiling in the Sistine Chapel. The modern Metro threads its ways through archaeological ruins, delivering you to centuries-old sights like the Trevi Fountain. Toss a coin in the baroque fountain to ensure your return to Rome.
Relax into la dolce vita ("the sweet life") when you stay in our hotels in Rome. It's a short trip from our Rome hotels to Piazza Navona, the most beautiful square in the city's centro storico (historic center). Here, students, priests and jetsetters alike gather for the traditional evening passeggiata (stroll). Our Rome hotels are also near Trastevere, a medieval neighborhood humming with restaurants and bars. Try original Roman dishes like fried artichokes and spaghetti alla carbonara, rich with bacon and eggs, in alfresco cafes on narrow cobblestone alleyways.
Book our Holiday Inn Rome hotels for sublime and simple pleasures all year round. Come in spring to enjoy the city's colorful religious festivals, particularly around Holy Week. In summer, Rome's historic ruins are dramatically spotlit.
A very warm hotel.
Location is very close to metro and train station.
You can travel to central Rome in 30 minutes.
I liked the breakfast, good variety.
Room was very clean.
The staff is very helpful[More] and professional.
Good value for money.
I will highly recommend this hotel.[Less]
Huge comfortable bed and great service
We arrived at the hotel and where warmly greeted by the reception staff who provided us with a map of Rome and told where the metro station was and also that a bus stop was right outside the hotel.[More] The metro was a short walk from the hotel about 9 mins if that and the bus went straight to the Colosseum.
Our room was very big and the double bed big enough for a family of four to sleep in. The room was exceptionally clean. There was no tea and coffee facilities but a quick visit to reception and a tray was delivered with a kettle, cups and tea and coffee arrived quickly and was replenished for the duration of our stay.
The only disappointment was I could only find one plug in the room to use to charge our phones and sons iPod and when there are three of you waiting there was not always time to fully charge our items.
There was a good range of items for breakfast everyday and the staff where very attentive and quick to clear your empty plates when you had finished so your table didn't become cluttered.
Checkout was quick and easy.[Less]
Good Value Choice for Rome.
This was a good choice for a 5 night stay. My room was an Executive room overlooking the courtyard with a balcony. The room was a good size with decent furniture and tea/coffee facilities. The[More] bathroom was well designed and spacious. I ate every night in the hotel, once in the restaurant and the rest in the bar. I had good salads which were well presented and of good quality. Breakfast has more options than is usual in a HI Express. The staff were all pleasant and I'd like to particularly mention Romina on the front desk for her help and pleasant attitude. The only problem was that the hotel aircon was set to heat only which meant the room got too warm, even with the patio door open. It was only March but nevertheless it was too hot inside. I noticed all the other rooms had their windows open too. The hotel is a 7 minute walk to both the nearest metro and Tuscalana railway station, which is a 40 minute train ride from Fiumicino airport.[Less]
Holiday in Pisana has great staff
If traveling to Rome, this is a bit away from the tourist areas, but is a nice,, clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay with really friendly, helpful staff. The Vatican by cab is about 20 minutes[More] and 15-20 Euros depending on traffic.[Less]

Good value for price. Maria Theresa, the head of conferences was very efficient and helpful.[Less]
This hotel far exceeded my expectations for an international vacation. The staff, the room, the amenities and everything about the hotel was wonderful. They speak at least 6 languages that I[More] overheard and had a smile and suggestion for any questions asked. They also have a shuttle (very reasonable) to common locations. I always stay with IHG and this was spectacular![Less]
Great location and convenient for touring.
We made good use of the daily shuttle bus service to the Vatican. The shuttle was very convenient and inexpensive. We also learned to use the city bus and subway system. There is a very convenient[More] bus stop right in front of the hotel. We ate at the breakfast buffet in the hotel each morning, since we really didn't see many other breakfast choices out in the city. The breakfast buffet is a little pricey, but there is a wide variety of foods to choose from. The hot buffet choices were repetitive and never varied. The hotel is very clean and our room was recently remodeled. The light switches were quite confusing to use- four switches? Housekeeping was great! I used the hot tub at the spa one evening- not very hot at all- tepid would be a better description. The spa area was very nice. .Dinner at the hotel is also a little pricey, but decent food, nothing really spectacular.[Less]
