Featured Rome Hotels

As a guest of our Holiday Inn® Rome hotels, it's easy to explore Italy's historic capital. With papal treasures, imposing ruins and baroque squares unfolding at every turn, the Eternal City is a living monument to the glory of ancient Rome.

Plunge into the city's lively streetscape from our hotels in Rome, where candy-colored Vespas zip around cobbled alleyways. The massive Colosseum is a popular spot for family photos with costumed gladiators. In the neighboring Forum, crumbling columns evoke the days of Julius Caesar. Sunlight streams through the dome of the Pantheon just as it has since the second century A.D. The Vatican beckons with two iconic artworks by Michelangelo: the Pietà statue in St. Peter's Basilica and the painted ceiling in the Sistine Chapel. The modern Metro threads its ways through archaeological ruins, delivering you to centuries-old sights like the Trevi Fountain. Toss a coin in the baroque fountain to ensure your return to Rome.

Relax into la dolce vita ("the sweet life") when you stay in our hotels in Rome. It's a short trip from our Rome hotels to Piazza Navona, the most beautiful square in the city's centro storico (historic center). Here, students, priests and jetsetters alike gather for the traditional evening passeggiata (stroll). Our Rome hotels are also near Trastevere, a medieval neighborhood humming with restaurants and bars. Try original Roman dishes like fried artichokes and spaghetti alla carbonara, rich with bacon and eggs, in alfresco cafes on narrow cobblestone alleyways.

Book our Holiday Inn Rome hotels for sublime and simple pleasures all year round. Come in spring to enjoy the city's colorful religious festivals, particularly around Holy Week. In summer, Rome's historic ruins are dramatically spotlit.

Clean comfortable rooms with friendly staff and great service
By mrcanuck
Wonderful stay at this hotel. Amazing breakfast buffet plus clean, comfortable rooms. Front Desk staff are very friendly and helpful with directions, etc. We visited at the 'change of season'- the air [More] conditioning is now turned off and the air in our room was warm from the fan- so stay on a level other than the ground level (you can't open your window/door as you are on a main terrace). This way you can safely open your window/door for fresh air. Even with window open, hotel is very quiet. Would stay here again. [Less]
Lovely hotel
By Louisehv
We had a great stay here and it was quite close to the metro which was good. It isn't in a very exciting neighbourhood but I'm sure you'll find that you're never there. Also, at night it felt a [More] little scary outside but that might just have been because it is so quiet. Over all great stay and we really liked the breakfast. [Less]
Great value, Wifi is rubbish
By Occasional Tourist
This hotel is located in a residential area, which means there are no real tourist attractions around. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are functional. Local train station is just around the [More] corner, which can be heard if the door/window is open. The hotel offers good value for a base to explore Rome if you're happy to use the public transport to get to tourist attractions (check tips later). Pros: - Good value - Close to train station and metro stops - Big bed and functional bathroom - There's an empty mini fridge in the room Cons: - Wifi is awful, about 70kbps. Don't expect to be able to use internet for work - can be noisy. The sound insulation is not the best. Sound of the local trains can be heard if window is open. - the temperature controls didn't really work. Slept with the window open - Breakfast is inconsistent. Rubbery scrambled eggs on multiple mornings, poor coffee (compared to any other cafe in Rome) - Dinner was a bland, eat out - There's an empty mini fridge in the room Tips: - Buy a 24/36/72h travel pass and you can use local trains, busses, trams and metro which makes this a decent location to explore Rome. Old town centre is only 20min commute away. - Pick up takeaway pizza from Alice's in the corner of Via Veturia and Via Appia Nuova (500m from hotel). It's cheap, delicious and a lot better option to eating at the hotel and it's open from morning till late. - Eat gelati (ice cream) at the Petrinellis at the same corner. One local said it to be the best in Rome. [Less]

Beautiful hotel
By Bella234
What a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Beautifully decorated in very good taste. Classy! One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in ,especially feeling a little under the [More] weather with a cold, cough and sore throat. Stayed in bed much later than usual and woke up feeling like a "new" person. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and will definitely stay there again. [Less]

The most helpful and friendly staff that I have ever experienced at a hotel [Less]

We loved this hotel, our room, the front desk, the housekeeping service. EVERYTHING! We appreciated the fact that we could use the air conditioning, because it has been a warm autumn in Italy. The [More] room, beds, pillows, bathroom were so comfy, we slept like babies! Monica at the front desk was very sweet, friendly, and helpful. Our housekeeper was great, she even figured out we like to use face cloths, and left some for us after our 2nd night. Our only complaint is that the downtown pick-up location for the shuttle was terrible. Had difficulty finding it, and it was not close to anything! Why not just have the pick-up be the same as the drop-off, near the Vatican square? It made no sense. At the end of a long day, when you have been walking your feet off, to then have to walk to some out of the way place, in the dark, that was crazy. So we would end up paying $15 to come back in the cab. Have people show their current hotel key/folio if you are concerned about non-guests using the shuttle. Hotel restaurant was good, but too expensive. Last night in hotel, one of us was sick, so we ordered a simple room service, sandwich and fries, and they charged us $5.00 apiece for soft drinks. That is ridiculous. Otherwise, no complaints, we would stay here again, and will recommend to our friends! [Less]
quiet pleasant are of Rome
By Lozza
Excellent room and base for trips to Central Rome, either by Bus/Metro or hotel shuttle. Comfortable room facilites, my only gripe would be the City tax ,which is pretty steep when we are far out of [More] the central zone of Rome.,in a semi rural area its seems [Less]
Short Break
By Dale71111
I stayed at this hotel with my Wife for a few days as this was my first trip to Rome. The hotel was pleasant but a little bit dark due to the dark color of the walls. the dining room was very good [More] and the food was excellent, service was quick and prompt. I was very surprised at the cost of things as I was informed the Rome was very expensive, but this was not the truth. I would recommend this hotel if you enjoy a bit of quiet time, as it was not in the city, but close enough with the transport links. [Less]
