Great Hotel let down by ridiculous slow Internet Speed

I have now been staying at this hotel for the last 3 weeks and here are my thoughts.
Staff are friendly and helpful especially Tomasz on Reception and Kyle behind the Bar.
The rooms that have[More] been recently upgraded are also really good with comfy bed, sockets next to bed (at last in a hotel)
The meals have been well cooked and reasonably priced though Crick is only 5 mins away with to great pubs in it.
Only 1 but for someone like myself and several of my colleagues who spend 10 months a year in hotels this unfortunately for me is a 'Show Stopper'
The issue is the Hotel 'Free Internet' speed is all but useless with a 0.49mb download speed which is like the days of owning a dial up modem and the cost of upgrading to a faster network speed is ridiculous.
I would use my own unlimited data for internet access but unfortunately the 'Three' network is worse than the Hotel Internet.
It is with some reluctance that myself and some colleagues will be relocating back to the Holiday Inn in Coventry J2 as of the 23rd Nov for the rest of the year where the Hotel Internet speed is still as poor but we get 4g Mobile signal.
Maybe when the Hotel improves it's internet speed or offers fast speeds for Spire & Platinum Members myself and my colleagues will return to Crick again.
Clean and friendly stay, only negative was the mattress could have been comfier.[Less]
IHG should stop adding a service charge to bills for hotel guests in the restaurant, as it is not clear where this goes. It should be left up to the guest if they wish to include a gratuity for the[More] service they have received.
The food is very good, and the hotel itself is very comfortable.[Less]
Good Night Sleep
Windows were triple glazed which made a huge difference as the Hotel is right next the Airport, Hardly no noise filtered through to my room..[Less]
Friendly Hotel at a Fair Price.
We often stay at the Holiday Inn at Gatwick Airport and like Luton we have never yet been disappointed,[Less]
We used the Hotel to stay one night an left our car for eight days while we flew out to Egypt. Good Hotel to stay as we were so near the Air Port. We have used this Hotel already for this purpose and[More] shall use in before the year is out. The only problem we had was when we arrived home we received a Parking Ticket for £100.00. I contacted the Hotel immediately and they contacted the Parking Office to have this removed. When we booked in for some reason they did not put our car reg on their system. May have been because we were ony dropping our cases off and then taking the car up to the long stay car. If you do this make sure they book your reg when you arrive at the Hotel. A little upsetting but now we know we shall make sure everything has been entered. A pleasant stay and shall use again[Less]
You won't be disappointed. Would stay again with now worry.[Less]
Very comfortable and large room
My room was very comfortable, but the television did not work, there were light bulbs missing and the plug in the sink was missing. When this was reported very quick action was taken and the[More] reception staff were very apologetic. I feel that the cleaning staff should have spotted the bulb and sink problem as a matter of course. Other than that, I found my stay very agreeable and I would happily stay there again.[Less]
Nice hotel with great service.
This modern hotel was clean and staff very friendly. The only downside was the difficulty in controlling the warm air heating fan in the bedroom, but apart from that I had an excellent stay.[Less]
